What if so says they have accepted christ but says they don't feel anything in church

I know we are not to judge anyone but I wanted to get anyone's thoughts on this. What if someone says they have accepted Christ but when they go to church, they don't feel anything in worship? When they hear the Word preached, they receive it and say they are going to do things differently but the moment they leave church, what they say it's going to do, goes out of the door. It reminds of when Jesus talks about the parable of the soils in Matthews were the one heard the Word but it didnt' take root.
Is one really saved in this case?

I'd probably ask them first what they expect to "feel" in worship and then explain to them that Christianity isn't feeling it's action, it's following Christ. Too many have a wrong perception of what Christianity is and that this overwhelming, life changing emotion and feeling comes over them like a flood, which isn't true. (not saying never, ever, but not usually)

As far as the second part, sounds to me like they need a mentor. Someone to take them under their wing and show them how to grow in the Lord. Someone to sit down with them each week and have prayer, Bible Study together, to encourage them to study the scriptures, teach them to prepare their heart and mind for worship each Sunday. Someone to be available to answer questions, someone to be a friend. Someone to guide them like Paul did for Timothy.

I think there are two issues here.

Feelings - some people do not experience much feelings in worship at all. Instead I would be asking about what they experienced and what they were like before they were born again and then any changes that came about. If they are thinking people then look at how they now think etc.

Doing - Jesus said those who love Him obey God's commandments (not just feel or think convicted). I would also looking at them before they were saved and after they claim they were saved. People rightly should expect a general improvement in morals and behaviour in christians compared to non-christians.

Some people have a harder walk and have more to overcome before they start to seem like real christians to outsiders. Make sure you find out if they are struggling christians before you label them as fake christians.

I think the first mistake is in assuming that God dwells in a church building
and the only way/place you can come in contact with God is by going to church
on Sunday.

Ness believe the bible not what someone says;
1John 2:4 He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.

1john 3:9 Whosoever is born of God doth not commit (practice) sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot (practice) sin, because he is born of God.

Think that one needs to reconfirm what they see as being saved means from the Bible, did they 'ask jesus in their hearts", or was there a real turning towards God and receiving jesus by genuine faith?

Asking them to confirm that their election by God was indeed true, and see if we can get them on a mentoring process, come along side them with a matur Christian, and work threough helping them to walk with Christ...

fimally, everyome experiences worship different way, and just see what works for them best, and remind them they come to meet with God!

Would say that IF he was recently saved, NOT the time to check to see iF he measures up well enough to "show saved!"

There is no need to ask anything, just believe the bible. If the person is not living for the Lord they are lost according to the bible.

No if he was saved he wpould be a commandment keeper according to scripture. He may not know all there is to know but he would obey all he did know and since his word is written on our hearts he knows more then enough.

IF recently 'reborn" though, would not have had enough time to have matured and grown up to "show saved", as this is a growing life long process, that we keep growing into image of Christ, and will try to do less sin daily, and act more like Christ!

The Christian should be living for Jeus, but still ahs within him sin nature, that wages war against the HS, IF we submit to the HS, produces fruit, CAN still submit to the Flesh though, and reap bad fruit!

I understand what you are saying as that is the common false teaching of man as it is not biblical. The bible is clear.

All true believers are commanment keepers from the moment they are saved. it is not about maturity. If you do not understand what a commandment keeper is then click here

The new nature in us will always obey God, but old one always rebels, up to us to chose which one rules over us, either the flesh or the HS!

There is no old nature in a believer. No place does the scripture teach such a thing. It does however teach this;
