Remember the "Doomsday Clock" that predicted nuclear destruction?

Nope....I thank God above that it hasn't. If it ever does(which I truly don't think it will), it will be time for me to go some place else.

There was a couple that came to our church from a WoF church a couple of years ago. They stayed for about a year, and while they were there they kept talking about tongues, the gift of healing (by man, not God), and prosperity/wealth. Nobody corrected them because the pastor felt like if they got offended and left that they would never hear solid bible doctrine.
They said several times that they didn't understand why we weren't charamatic, and after about a year they quit coming. I believe they heard solid teaching for a year and hope they retain some of it
But to answer your question, no, they did not infect our church with their beliefs.

PS My father-in-law actually quit the Baptist church and went to Rhema University and became a charasmatic simply because he wanted to be a preacher and the Baptist church wouldn't ordain him because his wife has been divorced. He graduated from Rhema about 20 years ago now, and is still not a pastor. He has the education and the ordination, but no church has called him for 20 years. He has tried many times to plant a church, but it always fizzles out.

Yes it is. In fact it is taught from the pulpits of most conservative churches by the tithing teachings when they teach that when we give God gives back, That is exactly what prosperity churches teach although some just add to it. Also I have heard people, even preacher teach that if we do not give God the tithe he will get it some other way. That too is a prosperity teaching. Don’t give God takes.
You don't have a clue what is taught in "most churches". Your claim is just false and uninformed.

I must whole-heartedly agree with you here.
I find it interesting that he has this (via self-proclamation) nearly omniscient understanding of "most churches" and typically its premise is based on a derogatory assumption towards others in them.

isn't though most of that heretical teaching caused by theology that exaults man up, that jesus was man like us, just knew how to use the "god force" better...
seems that we see a variation of this, when we see that people honestly believe that God waits on us to do things, when they say he is "bound/stuck" waiting upon the Church to start moving forward!
