Brothers in Christ,

Please stop all the name calling and wrong comparisons on both sides of the soteriological questions.

Right doctrine ought not to make us bitter and hateful. Both sides in this believe strongly that what they believe is Biblically correct. We all believe the Bible is God's inerrant Word. In our more sane moments, we all believe that the other will be worshipping together at the throne when we get to heaven.

This place ought to be a place of sharpening each other not attacking each other.

May I suggest a Christmas Truce like they had in WW1 (1914 I believe)

No sniping, lobbing of bombs, etc......hows bout we converse in a civil tone & talk about subject matter that Glorifies the Lord....maybe then we can actually learn from one another. :godisgood:

I have to admit Tom that I got sucked into it by a certain poster, but I can assure you that it wont happen again.

Thay certain poster doesnt think I am a born again Christian, and him inferring that really upset me. Well, I am, and I believe he is, so I wont be arguing personal issues again.

We are all born again Christians no matter which side of the debate we are on.

At some point, you very well may find you face-to-face with one of the Baptist Board folks. You don't want that meeting to be awkward because of some ill-chosen words during debate.

I've had the privilege of meeting a BB member when I visited his church while traveling; and had a pleasant phone conversation when a fellow BB member from Kentucky called me just to chat.

I think a good rule of thumb would be, could you say the same words face-to-face that you are typing behind an anonymous "handle?"

May I suggest that we all have a group hug?

"Calvinism IS The Gospel"
"Calvinists are stupid/arrogant,followers of Calvin/Augustine, not of God"

Think BOTH sides at times say really unchrist like things!

No clue what you're talking about, but I do gotta wonder why we should have sharp swords if we can't jab people with them. All in love, of course! :love2: :saint:

Sounds to me that it's all others doing the stabbing and name calling. No one gets "sucked into it." That's just an excuse. We simply choose to engage in it ourselves. :)
