The more I read about Ron Paul the more I have come to believe that though his baggage is different than Newt's, he has too much baggage to ever be elected president. For instance racist statements he made and published in Ron Paul’s Freedom Report, the Ron Paul Survival Report, the Ron Paul Political Report and the Ron Paul Investment Letter.
Example:
“Order was only restored in L.A. when it came time for the blacks to pick up their welfare checks three days after rioting began.”
“If you have ever been robbed by a black teenaged male, you know how unbelievably fleet-footed they can be.”
There are more.
I don't understand how anyone could even take him seriously.
He's not personally responsible for their contents.
Baloney.
Sounds like a liberal...never responsible for anything.

Thats the whole point. The Dem's who will be voting on the Republican side in open primary States, such as Iowa want Paul to be the nominee, as they think he is one of the easiest for Obama to beat.

Thus the reason I am against open primaries.
In NY, if you decided to change your party affiliation, it will not be effective until after the next General election.
I like that.
Looks like Dr. Paul's plans to re-institute slavery, legalize lynching, and open his own chain of white-only restaraunts has been uncovered.
Darn.
Iowa is not a primary, Iowa is a caucus. Neither is Iowa open, it is closed.
I realize that Iowa is a caucus - I just said "primary" as a generic term.
Form what I have heard and read - Iowa is open.
Do you have a good link otherwise?
Iowa is technically a closed primary, but they allow voters to change their registration the day of voting so in essence they are open.
