I have the book on software, believe it or not, do once ina while find myself going from the Dan wallace greek grammer notes to look up same subject in that "big" grammar!

As just being older does not mean "no value!"

Which is what I have used it for in the past. It is a fine reference book but not one for the most up-to-date textual scholarship. Other grammars are better.

Who said it had no value? It is not as good as others but can be referenced. There is so much work that has been done since the turn of the 20th century (when it was written) that there is much to be benefitted from in newer grammars.

When it comes the linguistical, textual, historical language study newer generally is better as the field continues to grow and expand with recent scholarship and the contribution of archeological finds (imagine modern Hebrew work without Ugaritic) and textual discoveries. Robertson was a gem in its day, and it still can help, but the contemproary Greek student is better off reading newer grammars.

I totally agree with you on this, its just sad that so many seem to think that ONLY the latest written article/book etc has any real value!
