Timely Salvations

Salvation is "a deliverance". Most of the salvation scriptures are refering to timely deliverances.

I believe wholeheartedly in "time salvation".

Deliverance from what?
Eternal salvation is a deliverance from this present evil world. Our timely salvations (deliverances) can be many. When we ask God to heal our siknesses and he does, that is a timely deliverance from our sickness. When the Holy Spirit brings us to an understanding of the truth of what Christ accomplished on the cross, that is a timely deliverance from believing a false doctrine, such as depending upon our good works for eternal salvation, Rom 10. Most of the salvation scriptures are refering to timely deliverances.

If you are truly intrested in God and his fellowship then you are one of the elect and you were eternally saved over 2,000 years ago by Christ's crucifiction on the cross, John 6:37-41. Christ died for those that god gave him (which were those he choose before the foundation of the world, Eph1).

Thats probably when you were converted, which is a timely salvation, not eternal salvation. You were already eternally saved by Christ's work on the cross.

Praise the Lord!! I don't remember the exact date because I was just seven but it was in mid-January of '73. I was in my room with my mom and my brother. I know I was changed that day. :jesus: :godisgood:

Where you get your doctrine from, I have no idea but it's certainly not from the Scriptures. Can you show me one theologian who teaches this brand of doctrine?

Eternal salvation for God's elect was accomplisshed by Christ on the cross. God's elect when they are born into this world are born as natural beings. Sometime in the elect's life God quickens them to a spiritual life, which usually comes unnoticed (like a breeze, we know not whence it cometh nor where it goeth). Somtime after they are born again, they are converted (changed from walking in the flesh too walking in the Spirit). Our conversion, unlike our regeneration, comes to us in a dramatic way, such as was Paul's conversion on the road to Damaskas. Many confuse their conversion as being their regeneration.

I'm not sure I'm understanding your apparent revulsion to what he's presenting here. And also demanding he show proof by "appeal to authority".

"(Acts 2:40) And with many other words he solemnly testified and kept on exhorting them, saying, "Be saved from this perverse generation!"

Is this where you going Forest - don't know, not really following this thread.

When do you say we are regenerated?

What happened to people who were born before the crucifixion?

Are you saying that Paul was born again while he was murdering Christians?

Acts 2:40 is a timely deliverance. We cannot save ourselves eternally, that would be eternal salvtion by works which is not scriptural.

Yes, Paul was taught at the feet of Gameael (mismelled). He was well versed in the old testement scriptures. The natural man who has not been born again cannot descern spiritual things, they are foolishness unto him, 1 Cor 2:14. The face that God's elect do sometimes some terriably sinful things confuses a lot of people thinking that they couldn't do those things and be born again. The effectiveness of Christ's crucifixion flows backward to Adam and forward to the last one of his elect that will be born into this world.

We are eternally saved by Christ's work on the cross. We are regenerated sometime after our natural birth into this world.

So you are saying that regeneration is something different than our eternal salvation?
