I am working on a piece in my study on the subject of Spiritual Warfare. I have found David Jeremiah, Warren Wiersbe, and Erwin Lutzer to be of good help for this study. One of the many lies that the devil uses and perhaps one of he most effective is Hedonism. What are your thoughts on this? Many today do not like objective truth, but rather seek pleasure, and that is their truth.

And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares. Lu 21:34

Christ has just warned His apostles of the potential for hedonism here, and there are several other places we're warned in the epistles to not use our liberty as an opportunity for the flesh.

David prayed:

Keep back thy servant also from presumptuous sins; let them not have dominion over me: then shall I be upright, and I shall be innocent from the great transgression. Ps 19:13

Hedonism is a very real danger for the redeemed born from above child of God.

Can it be hedonism to posit that one is tracing hedonism in order to call out some other brother about the issue?

I recommend David Platt, "Radical."

And, for spiritual warfare, Chuck Lawless, "Spiritual Warfare." A most excellent and BIBLICAL work.

I looked up that book but was unable to locate it on amazon or cbd.com. Is that the correct name for it Spiritual Warfare?
