I find it interesting that of the levitical sacrificial system, only the sin offering (also called purification offering, Lev. 4:1 - 5:13, 6:24 - 30, 12:6 - 8) and the guilt offering (Lev. 5:14 - 6:7, 7:1 - 6, 12 - 18) are the only mandatory offerings.
Since Christ fulfilled the letter of the law, His death would cover both sin and guilt, nullifying limited atonement as His death covered more than just guilt.
In addition, the sacrificial system shows one does not have to be guilty in order for His death to be beneficial, i.e., infants and the MR / DD who are NOT guilty according to the law and the very definition of what guilt is.
If Christ only died for the "elect", how do you explain away the sin offering (which Christ also fulfilled)?
