Do you believe God gives sinners a "NEW" heart (Exek. 36:26)? Do you believe that the "new" heart which God gives is a DIFFERENT heart than what they previously had? Wasn't their previous heart an "heart of unbelief"???
Hence, God gives a BELIEVING HEART as "with the heart man believeth unto righteousness." The very state of the heart when given is a BELIEVING heart and thus regeneration and saving faith are simeltaneous in action. There is no such thing as an unregenerated beleiver any more than there is such a thing as a regenerated unbeliever. I Jn 5:1 proves this grammatically as does Ephesians 2:8-10. We are "saved through faith" not apart from it and "saved" in Ephesians 2:10 is a synonym of "quickened" (Ephes. 2:1, 5) and a synonym of being "created in Christ Jesus" (Eph. 2:10).
I believe exactly what you wrote that I put in bold.
How is that believing heart put in one? By the promise. There is not a promise of God made for man the the man child Jesus the Son of God as the Son of Man does not first inherit. The promises (Plural) were to Abraham and his one seed
Christ. Abraham died not having received the promises and to my knowledge still hasn't received the promises.
Isn't the believing heart put in a man by him being given the promise of the Holy Spirit? Yet Christ said, It was imperative that he go away (die) in order for the Comforter (The Holy Spirit) to come. That is he did not go away the Comforter would not come. For the blessings of Abraham to be given to anyone the seed of Abraham, the Son of Man would first have to receive the promise of the Holy Spirit. Acts 2:33 Therefore being by the right hand of God exalted, and
having received of the Father the promise of the Holy Spirit, he (
God the Father) hath shed forth this, (The Holy Spirit that brings the believing heart) Compare John 16:7 with Acts 2:32,22 and Titus 3:5,6 After the renewing of the Holy Spirit to someone, (I believe to be Jesus Christ) V6 Which (The Holy Spirit) he (God the Father) shed on us abundantly
through Jesus Christ our Saviour;
Through Jesus Christ means Jesus had received it from the Father therefore it could be shed on us.
Why did Jesus receive the Holy Spirit? Because he went away, he died. As Phil. 2:8 puts it, Jesus humbled himself,
having become obedient unto death -- death even of a cross, (Obedience of faith) Gal. 3:22 But the scripture hath concluded all under sin, that the promise (of the Holy Spirit)
by faith of Jesus Christ (Jesus going away being obedient unto death -- death even of the cross)
might be given to them that believe. (the believing ones, his sheep the elect)
V23 Before the faith came (Jesus being obedient unto death) under the schoolmaster (the law)
V25 But after that the faith did come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster. (the law)
Romans 6:14 For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.
Grace was, the washing of regeneration and the renewing of the Holy Spirit.
Which The Father shed on us abundantly
through Jesus Christ.
Salvation came to man by: Grace through the faith. Gal 3:18,19 For if the inheritance [be] of the law, [it is] no more of promise:
(The promise to be inherited by the way is: In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began; but God gave to Abraham by promise.
(Abraham and his one seed, Christ. Abraham has not received the promises yet.) Wherefore then the law? It was added because of transgressions,
till the seed should come to whom the promise was made; ordained by angels in the hand of a mediator.
Titus 3:7 That being justified by his grace, we should be made
heirs according to the hope of eternal life.
Jesus inherited by being the firstborn from the dead, by resurrection/regeneration. We heirs shall also inherit by being born again from the dead by resurrection/instantly changed at his appearing or as Jesus put it in; Matt. 19:28 That ye which have followed me in the regeneration, (born from the dead, spiritual, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly)
when the Son of man shall sit in the throne of his glory, ye also shall sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.
