Is the 7th day Adventist Church Christian or a Cult?

Are they to be seen as a christian church or not?

Depends upon ones definition of a "cult"?

I define it within the boundaries of my definition of a "cult."

It was started by a false prophet and thus by the spirit behind that false prophet (1 Jn. 4:1). Job denied that anything clean can come out of something unclean (Job 14:1).

It denies eternal judgement as taught by scriptures.

It teaches the false doctrine of the investigative judgment.

It teaches works by salvation inclusive of the Levitical dietary laws

It defines "grace" as inclusive of works and thus preaches "another gospel."

It continues under the "sign" of the Old Covenant rather than the sign of the New Covenant - Saturday Sabbath keeping.

So they would be lumped together with Mormons/JW as "Christians cults?"

Are Jerry Falwell and Hal Lindsay true or false prophets? Christianity probably has more false than true prophets.

Two words...

Ellen White.

Of course they are a cult...

The cult of Ellen White.

Adventists put the words of the false prophetess Ellen White on par with Scripture.

A 'cult' from Christian view-point first and foremost is a movement that claims it is Christian, though denies the absolute Divinity and or Deity of Jesus Christ the Son of God.

Such 'cults' all seem to be Sabbatharians - that is, people who pretend to keep the Seventh Day Sabbath yet for NO REASON THAN THE JEWS DO: BECAUSE OF THE LETTER OF THE LAW.

Both these are characteristics of the Sabbatharian cults.

That does not mean, however, that "IF JESUS HAD GIVEN THEM REST ... a Sabbatismos - an obligation to keep the Sabbath Day", NO LONGER "remains valid for the (TRUE) People of God". On the contrary, it meant and still means, "HE – JESUS – HAVING ENTERED INTO HIS OWN REST as God in his own, God's-rest-of-the-Sabbath-Day THEREFORE remained / remains valid for them the People of God.”
God’s Rest is Jesus Christ and in Jesus Christ through Resurrection from the dead.

And God’s Sabbath-rest was when God raised Christ from the dead in the Sabbath Day.

THEN Jesus Christ by his Resurrection from the dead on the Sabbath Day “for The People of God” became the “THEREFORE why for them remained obligatory, rest on the Sabbath Day”.

Wherein does God's-rest-of-the-Sabbath-Day-for-the-People of God find its "VALIDITY"? "THEREFORE ..." that "Jesus, He having entered into his own rest as God, had given them REST (Divine)” … THROUGH RESURRECTION FROM THE DEAD.

That comprises the difference between the Sabbath and Sabbath-keeping of cultists and Christians.

Now this, neither the Seventh-day Adventists nor the Judaist 'Christians' like COG etc. believe in, but REJECT and SCORN NO LESS OR DIFFERENT than the Sunday worshippers. And therefore the whole caboodle are 'cult' in modern day meaning of the word, EVERYONE ‘arguing’ while claiming ‘the Law and nothing but the Law.
I am sick and tired of the lot till in my innermost soul.
