Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell says it’s time for Sen. Harry Reid to stop his repeated “baseless accusations” that Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney didn’t pay taxes.
Reid, the Democratic majority leader in the Senate, has cited an anonymous investor from Romney’s former company – Bain Capital – to claim the Republican didn’t pay taxes for 10 years.
“I think the Majority Leader has more important things to do than use the Senate as a forum for his baseless accusations,” McConnell said Thursday in a statement provided to The Daily Caller.
“Frankly, it’s beneath the dignity of his office,” the Republican senator from Kentucky said.
Can such behavior be supported or refuted with scripture?
As a matter of principle, lying ought not be condoned because it is condemned in Scripture. That a politician would so blatantly engage in it for gain speaks to his lack of character.
And Christians on this board ot anywhere else ought not be supporting them either.
It's only slander if it's not true; the truth isn't slander and is simply fact.
Precisely. We don't know if Romney paid taxes in the past or not. I suspect he did, but we don't know.
All slander is sin because all slander involves some kind of lie.
a false and defamatory oral statement about a person
.Slander is like what you write when you spice up and add to what others say like you did here.Like claiming that ex-military members are brainwashed and unfit for law enforcement positions because of a tendancy toward brutality?
It is slander because it is not true and Harry Reid knows it. Mitt Romney has already released at least one of the last 10 years that proves the statement is false. How is it slander to say a person has not paid any taxes in ten years?

It seems you want it to be slander, so it is slander.
By your logic if I said .... so and so on the BB lives in Chicago it would be slander if that person did not live there.
That is not the definition of slander.
As I said, if Reid had added something negative about Romney's character then, if it was false, it would be slander.

Quoted in entirety:
I don't need any benefit of doubt as there is none. Ex-military are bad for law enforcement as they tend to be brutal and lack the ability to stand for the constitutional rights of the people. Also they have a tendency to lie and be dishonest when it comes to their own, look at yourself who is seeking to cover for these criminals even with clear proof they violated the rights of these people, you still seek to cover for them. You alone are the evidence that anyone with ex-military should net be in any form of police work. -FAL http://www.baptistboard.com/showthread.php?t=75330&highlight=military+brutal

I think the military makes many men killers in an extended war as we have been in. The brain washing that goes on gets deep into their heart and mind and the person can lose sight of how to deal with people that are not enemy combatants and when they come across someone suspoected of a crime they use it as an excuse to excessive force. So when they come home many of them are not able to separate from their experience that they had in the military. This is why we see many of them seek out to become private security in war zones. If you remember what many of the so called ex-military have done to citizens in Iraq and other countries calling it security then you will see what happens. They are trigger happy andbrutal seeking the high of the kill or fight. This is what we see happening here now and it will escalate as more and more ex-military who join the civilian police forces and agencies not to mention those who remain in the military and the government turns them lose on the populous. -FAL http://www.baptistboard.com/showthread.php?t=74825&highlight=military+brutal
