or was that JUST from god to Isreal?
To answer simply....no.
See Col 2 and Rom 14, as well as Galatians.
I did not ignore cultural context. I simply take God at His Word. When He says that we are not to judge based on someones personal convictions concerning this issue, regardless of which sabbath you are talking about, then we are not to judge. We have an incredible amount of freedom on many issues.
Keep in mind God rested on the 7th day of the creation account. He did not command anything regarding it.
Our spiritual rest is in Christ. We are also indwelt by the Spirit. So every moment of every day should be in worship no matter where we find ourselves. It is true these bodies need rest, and even the ground benefits from rest. These principals can be applied according to personal convictions. It is also true that we need to fellowship with others, but no day or place is commanded. We can "have church" any day of the week and anywhere.
So, in short, the OT Sabbath is not binding for us.

Paul makes it clear he is only talking about issues that are neither right nor wrong in themselves rather than any Biblical issues.
The Creator clearly states that the sabbath was "made FOR MAN" and that it as "sanctified" or "set apart" for that end - Mark 2:26-27; Gen. 2:3-4
That is true (Heb. 4:3) but the problem is that there is more to our salvation than our "spiritual" rest but the rest entered by both our soul and body into a New Creation. The gospel rest was obtained by all those saints prior to the cross as well (Heb. 4:5-8) as they beleived in the same gospel as we (Heb. 4:2-3).
This is true in regard to our "souls" as we "walk in the Spirit"! When we believed we were born of the Spirit and what was born of Spirit is spirit and thus our spirit entered into rest (Heb. 4:2-3) and has we walk in the Spirit we experience rest for our souls. However, salvation concerns more than our spirit and soul but the body as well as, as it must enter into that rest and that has not yet occurred and therefore there is still "a sabbath day observance for the people of God" until we enter into that rest.
The Creation Sabbath has not been invalidated by faith but reinforced by the cross and some day will be completely fulfilled when we enter the new heaven and earth in spirit, soul and body.
but is the actual date to observe itstill saturday?
This has been a hotly debated subject on this forum over and over again. However, let me briefly state my position once again.
1. The fourth commandment MUST be interpreted to be consistent with God's own application of the Sabbath law to different days, months, years.
2. The Creation Sabbath was made "FOR MAN" not merely the Jew (Mk. 2:26-27) as no jews were in existence when it was "made".
3. The Old Covenant Sabbath and Levitical Sabbath laws have been abolished - Col. 2:16
4. The New Covenant Sabbath was prophetic in Leviticus 23 under New Covenant feasts and types and predicted by Psalm 118:22-24.
5. The New Covenant Sabbath is observed to honor a greater work of redemption and new heaven and new earth - Heb. 4:1-11
6. The New Covenant Sabbath is called "The Lord's Day" (Rev. 1:10) the first day of the week (Acts 20:7; 1 Cor. 16:1-2).
7. The New Covenant Sabbath is observed by attendance in public worship with delight and rejoicing in it - Psa. 118:24.
8. The New Covenant Sabbath is fulfilled in the ETERNAL DAY or EIGHTH unending MILLENNIUM of a New heaven and new earth.
Didn't the Apostles list all 9 Commandments to still be binding upon NT believers, but NEVER brought over the sabbath?
paul seemed to indicate that one was freed to observe sat/Sun or all days the same as to the lord!
A Jewish Christian is obligated. Gentiles outside Israel never were obligated.
People have tried and tried to explain it away but the Scriptures speak clearly.
Col 2:15 When He had disarmed the rulers and authorities, He made a public display of them, having triumphed over them through Him.
Col 2:16 Therefore no one is to act as your judge in regard to food or drink or in respect to a festival or a new moon or a Sabbath day--
Col 2:17 things which are a mere shadow of what is to come; but the substance belongs to Christ.
Col 2:18 Let no one keep defrauding you of your prize by delighting in self-abasement and the worship of the angels, taking his stand on visions he has seen, inflated without cause by his fleshly mind,
Col 2:19 and not holding fast to the head, from whom the entire body, being supplied and held together by the joints and ligaments, grows with a growth which is from God.
Col 2:20 If you have died with Christ to the elementary principles of the world, why, as if you were living in the world, do you submit yourself to decrees, such as,
Col 2:21 "Do not handle, do not taste, do not touch!"
Col 2:22 (which all refer to things destined to perish with use)--in accordance with the commandments and teachings of men?
Col 2:23 These are matters which have, to be sure, the appearance of wisdom in self-made religion and self-abasement and severe treatment of the body, but are of no value against fleshly indulgence. (NASB)

Christ spent more time defining and dealing with the fourth commandment than any other of the ten commandments. The fourth commandment is listed in hebrews 4:4-9.
That is a misinterpretation of Romans 14. Romans 14 deals only with cultural things that are less than principle or precept. The creation Sabbath was pre-cultural and is a matter of precept.
Context is important. The 10 Commandments were given in the context of a larger Law. When the other 9 are given in the NT they are not given in the same context.
Hebrews 4:2 asserts that the same gospel was preached before Calvary as after calvary and yet the rest obtained by faith in the gospel did not fulfill the creation Sabbath for them or us (Heb. 4:2-6). Neither did the land of palestine fulfill the Creation Sabbath. Neither did the peace wrought under David fulfill the Creation Sabbath. The fulfillment of the Creation Sabbath is yet future (Heb. 4:11. Therefore there "remains a Sabbath day observing for the people of God (Heb. 4:9) as the work of Christ only reinforces it rather than abolishes it (Heb. 4:10).
