Maybe you can explain Acts 1:8 "But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me..."
Or maybe...Mark 16:17 "and these signs shall follow them that believe..."
verse 19,20......explains verse 17....just understand the context;
17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;
18 They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.
19 So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God.
20 And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen.
if everyone had apostolic gifts.....they would not be singled out constantly as......THE LORD WORKING WITH THEM.....
The establishing of the word of God is the greatest ...GIFT......
15 Moreover I will endeavour that ye may be able after my decease to have these things always in remembrance.
16
For we have not followed cunningly devised fables,
when we made known unto you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ,
but were eyewitnesses of his majesty.
17 For he received from God the Father honour and glory, when there came such a voice to him from the excellent glory, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.
18 And this voice which came from heaven
we heard, when we were with him in the holy mount.
19
We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts:
20 Knowing this first, that no prophecy of
the scripture is of any private interpretation.
21 For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man:
but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.
Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which
was once delivered unto the saints.
the word ...once... is the word for once for all time...
17
But, beloved, remember ye the words which were spoken before of the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ;
