I have a 23 year old granddaughter who finished at College of Charleston last Christmas. She went to work immediately and has since gotten a better job with a group she interned with while in college. She was home this past week end. Told me she is working two part time jobs in addition to her full time job because she wants to get her college loans paid off before she is 30.

She is a Republican and conservative like her grandmother and me, as are all my grandchildren of age. She called me 4 years ago when Obama first won, crying. My oldest granddaughter, a teacher took the Obama win harder than I did but she is younger and has more to lose.

My grand children have made growing old bearable, and also joyful .

“The danger to America is not Barack Obama, but a citizenry capable of entrusting a man like him with the Presidency. It will be far easier to limit and undo the follies of an Obama presidency than to restore the necessary common sense and good judgment to a depraved electorate willing to have such a man for their president. The problem is much deeper and far more serious than Mr. Obama, who is a mere symptom of what ails America. Blaming the prince of the fools should not blind anyone to the vast confederacy of fools that made him their prince. The Republic can survive a Barack Obama, who is, after all, merely a fool. It is less likely to survive a multitude of fools, such as those who made him their president.”

This is without doubt the most accurate and succinct analysis of the problem that this country faces. Thanks for posting it. I have sent it to all my email contacts and would advise others to do the same.

It is very sad that a lot of people on this forum cannot understand what is happening to the country.

What's even sadder is that people on this forum can indeed understand what is happening to this country but they just flat out refuse too! They'd rather spend their time blaming the other side.

There is another old saying . . .

"Beware lest you lose the substance by grasping at the shadow." Aesop

Obama's Proposed Hope and Change for the Eighth Commandment

Posted by Thomas DiLorenzo on November 10, 2012 08:24 AM

Obama recently said that "the majority" of Americans, who pay little or no federal income tax, "agree with me" that those who DO pay significant income taxes should pay even more, so that the parasite class (a.k.a. "the majority who agree with me") can become even more parasitic. Producers should be taxed even more heavily than they are now so that non-producers can be even more unproductive, and for longer periods of time. He in essence would like to see the Eighth Commandment changed in the following way:

Original Eighth Commandment: "Thou shalt not steal." (Exodus 20:15)

Obama's Preferred Change: "Thou shalt not steal. However, stealing is OK if it is called "democracy," "majority rule," or "social justice."

UPDATE: The same goes, of course, for the Tenth Commandment: "Thou shalt not covet thy neighbors house . . . nor anything that is your neighbor's." The glorification and celebration of theft and covetesness, along with the deadly sin of envy, are the cornerstones of the modern state. We never hear a peep about this, however, from all those black preachers who instructed their flocks to vote for Obama, or all those white ministers who instructed their flocks to vote for Romney, Bush, and the rest. And we especially never hear of this from all those "social justice" Catholics whose clergy are mostly socialist/Marxist ideologues hiding behind priest's collars.

Wow, what a great synopsis. These people have been there, done that (communism/socialism, I mean).
