well, if he was saved, he already was a saint, same way that I am right now, all in christ are declared such by God, no need to have catholic approval for that!

Back to the OP - when I read the article, it stated that other Chaplains just didn't care that much.
I was never in Combat, but I would assume that in tight spots, I would not be worried too much of the denomination of the chaplain.
