What do you say about him? I rarely hear about him anymore. I have one of his books about the Seduction in Christianity but have yet to read it. Is it or he worth it? Perhaps he is a bad news bear and I am aware or believe he is a 5 point Arminian.

You don't hear much from him because he is dead.
I understand that his book, What Love Is This, is an excellent refutation of Calvinism. This alone would make him someone I would recommend.
I read some of his stuff back when I Finneyist. Nothing outright heretical, but it's not very good and is pretty shallow. Given his fans, I guess it has to be shallow.
Why waste your time and money on Dave Hunt, when there are so many good theologians available to you. Do yourself a favor and get some S. Lewis Johnson works, instead.
Never heard of him. Who is he?
Or would it better to read John Piper, John MacArthur, and Ji Packer?

He was a Reformed Baptist theologian mentored men like John MacAurthur.
You can listen to him and read what he wrote here:

I would say that Johnson, although lesser known, is on a par with those men.
I remember studying thus man in seminary or at least referencing him in a History of expository preachers class. Very good, but like Dr. Martin Llyod Jones kinda boring and requires a great attention span. But very deep.....

Hunt's books are far from shallow. He did much research before authoring any of them. He cites people and gives references throughout his books.

He's horrendously shallow. His research just isn't there. His citations are bogus and out of context.
You claiming Hunt is shallow is the best endorsement anyone could ask for. Thank you!
