The Purpose?

Was the purpose to create a being, man, is his own image, give him free will, the first one fail, and or fell bringing death to the millions and or billions to follow, provide a way to pay the death for the men and allow the men to correct their mistake by believing on the one who provided the payment, thus free willing themselves to heaven rather than going to hell?

Nothing like a short sentence and one that probably lacks in proper punctuation.

Or the big picture?

imho, the big picture; when this is all over and done with, when time is no more, every creature in the universe will know without question or any doubt whatsoever, 'there can be only One will'.

(from a most fascinating sermon given by a simple country PB preacher)

He did it because it pleased Him to do so. As far as the big picture, way beyond our comprehension. All I know is that our Creator died on the cross that we might have eternal life with Him.

1. We don't correct any mistake. Christ corrected the mistake at calvary.

2. Nobody 'free wills' themselves to Heaven any more than we can 'free will' ourselves to Mars.. That thinking is just plain dumb.

I started this thread because there were no comments on my thread, Look at the big picture.

Amazing that this thread and not the other drew comments.
