IMHO opinion I have had it up to here with these dozens of threads on the Sabbath - most - if not all- are started by a Seventh Day adventist.

Have you had enough?

Do you consider this rash of threads to be troll driven?

What can be done - I know of at least three thing
1) put the OP on "ignore"
2) do not respond to any of the threads
3) request the OP be banned

Mind you - I am all for a good discussion on Bible topics- but usually must run their course. This has not - and I don't see any end in sight.
Would another thread on the doctrine of the SDA had been started if you hadn't started it? Your entire OP begs the question. It defeats the very cause you complain about it. If you want less threads about the SDA then stop starting them!!

My biggest problem is that this board says "other Chrsitian groups", isn't the SDA a bible Cult, same way JW and Mormons are?

One picks and chooses their poison. If you don''t want to discuss SDA doctrine then don't start threads on that doctrine.

IMO, the RCC is just as much a cult as the SDA and others you have mentioned. If you want to go through the characteristics of a cult we can do that. You will see that it characteristically meets each and every one.

maybe we can change the name of the board to "Non christian groups" or maybe "other religions?"

I don't mind a thread or two on this subject - but one individual has started several on the issue.

Rule 13 of BB rules state: 13. No cross posting. Do not post the same message to more than one forum.
IMHO, a moderator should close and / or delete some of those threads.

PS - we get your point on you (incorrect) belief.
Keep in mind - the more you push - the more you push folks away.....

In the thread, "The fourth Commandment Sabbath..." it is not really an SDA thread.
There are four viewpoints that are put forth

1. SDA by Bob.
2. Sabbatarian viewpoint by Gerhard who is Dutch Reformed, I believe.
3. Biblicist believes in keeping the Sabbath as much as it is part of the Ten Commandments.
4. I don't believe Christians have anything to do with the Sabbath at all, but that it is a sign of the covenant given to the Jews and their generations forever (Ex.31).
All four views are being debated there, not just SDA.

Amen!

Indeed - the guys in the area of point 2 and 3 above would be most put out to be informed that only my view on the Sabbath should count as a Sabbath topic and their view does not count.

Even those who start a Sabbath thread with the purpose of showing it to be only for Jews and not continued after the cross - might not be pleased to hear that all their work should be regarded as nothing more than yet another BobRyan thread.

By every measure all Christians have an interest in the subject of the "Law of God" that is written on the mind and heart under the New Covenant.

If it does not include the 4th commandment then it is important to show it.

If it does include the 4th commandment - but bent to point to week-day-1 then it is important to show it.

If it includes the 4th commandment unbent and still pointing to Saturday the seventh day of the week - then again - it is worth the time to discover if that is so.

in Christ,

Bob

There is NO revelation in the bible stating Church was placed upon OT sabbath, and the keeping of the Jewish Sabbath NOT involved at ALL with my relationship with jesus, nor my salvation!

Depends on whether you think of the church as being in the group the Bible calls "mankind" or "the people of God"

For those of us that do - well then it is part of the Ten Commandments.

maybe, bu t the SDA has elevated the keeping of the OT sabbath as being essential to salvation, as much as circumcision and keeping the OT law was to Judaizers!

This nonsense is one of the reasons I seldom participate any more. This forum is called the Baptist Board, why it even has an "Other Christian Denominations" area is beyond me.

If this board purports to be Baptist, be Baptist. If not, be honest and change the name. :(

... so, must one therefore conclude from what you say here, that maybe, the Sunday-Christians have elevated the keeping of the extra Biblical Sunday as being essential to salvation, as much as circumcision and keeping the OT law are to Judaizers?!

You dishonestly imply Baptist Board is dishonest. The Baptists and the Board of this Baptist forum are perfectly honest and act within their right and Christian freedom to create a site where other denominations or individuals like myself may still have their say.

I think you are unlike a Christian authoritarian. Who are you after all, the pope?

NO Sunday as the Lord's day Christian says that its mandotory in order to get/keep saved, unlike sabbath day followers!

Usually, I say start a new thread on the topic are are going off on.
However - in this case there have been WAY too many threads on this subject.

I have had just way too much of these sabbath threads.
So lets add a question to my orgianal OP - why have we had enough of these threads?
