PC run amok: Halloween costumes the latest target of the lame and listless

Finding a Halloween costume that doesn't terrify politically-correct college busybodies could be a challenge this year, with schools warning students dressing up as cowboys, Native-Americans, hillbillies and even genies could be seen as offensive.

The University of Colorado at Boulder Dean of Students Christian Gonzales warned students in a campus memo of the dangers of donning a costume - almost any costume.

"If you are planning to celebrate Halloween by dressing up in a costume, consider the impact your costume decision may have on others in the CU community,” Gonzales said. “... making the choice to dress up as someone from another culture, either with the intention of being humorous or without the intention of being disrespectful, can lead to inaccurate and hurtful portrayals of other peoples’ cultures in the CU community.”
So now we're judging the "thoughts and intentions of the heart"? Seems to me someone said that is the job of the word of God, not the "politically correct" -- a moronic term if ever there was one.

We've been doing that for years. That's where hate crime legislation came from.

But perhaps they got the idea from folks in the Church? We don't know that the President has ever aborted anything, but he gets termed a child murderer/baby killer etc.

Perhaps if the Church stopped judging by mere appearances and started making right judgments instead, perhaps then the world would see an example of how to rightly judge?

If Revmitchell decided to rob a bank, and asked me to (only) drive the get-a-way car - I would be just as guility as Revmitchell of bank robbery.

Obama has not just thought abortion may be ok, he has advocated it! He would even approve of his daughters having an abortion

You'd be an accessory to the crime based upon your involvement. The actual robbery was committed by him.

Obama has not just thought abortion may be ok, he has advocated it!

And this makes him a baby murderer how?

He would even approve of his daughters having an abortion
[/QUOTE]

Again, that does not equate to committing murder himself.

I have never seen him called a child killer or baby murderer. He is however an abortionist.

noun
1. a person who performs or induces abortions, especially illegally.
2. a person who favors or advocates abortion as a right or choice that all women should have

Child murderer, abortionists. Whatever. It's coming from folks in the church. Everybody knows that the intent is to give a visual of him being the one actually murdering babies. And it is intentionally done again and again.

The Church is really good at the very things we complain about coming from others.

We need to get US right.

Matthew 5, NASB
21 "You have heard that the ancients were told, 'YOU SHALL NOT COMMIT MURDER' and 'Whoever commits murder shall be liable to the court.'
22 "But I say to you that everyone who is angry with his brother shall be guilty before the court; and whoever says to his brother, 'You good-for-nothing,' shall be guilty before the supreme court; and whoever says, 'You fool,' shall be guilty enough to go into the fiery hell."

If you do not know the definition of words you should not try to use them.
