Timothy George of Southern Baptist 'Founders Ministries':

Our Francis, Too: Why We Can Enthusiastically Join Arms With The Catholic Leader

[Francis has] been embraced so warmly across the Christian world, including by many evangelicals. Seldom has hope risen so high so quickly. And the hope has arisen for good reason.

reform and renewal can come only as we face squarely the evil within us and around us and seek the repentance that comes only as a gift. I believe that Pope Francis, a Jesuit, would agree with the first of Martin Luther's 95 Theses: "When our Lord and Master Jesus Christ said, 'Repent,' he willed for the entire life of believers to be one of repentance."

The title of your thread is, like most of your posts, very misleading.

there were 95 theses.

The current pope agrees with ONE of them and you think that is significant?
You think that says what? That Luther was a friend of Catholocism? What? You see we don't know because you don't engage the myriad of quotes you inundate baptistboard with.

You just provide quotes with no context making no claims about them. It seems as if you want to irritate from the safety of avoiding debate. You just kind of drive-by quote and flee for the hills when challenged to stand by the quote and tell us what you think it means.

This is not a drive-by quote forum. It is a DEBATE forum.

You need to learn the difference and act accordingly.

I agree.

The RCC is heretical and the Pope is a false prophet.

That more people are looking to that bunch for guidance and light in matters of Faith and Practice is getting all the more problematic.

Deceit brings deceitfulness. The blind leading those blind.

I don't mind some "drive by quotes" but I would have liked Jerome to show that the Pope has no authority in the real truth.
