In addition to that 100-yard pick-six by Chiefs' rookie corner Sean Smith, the Chiefs' other rookie corner Marcus Cooper forced Bills' receiver T.J. Graham to cough up the football at Buffalo's own 11, where OLB Tamba Hali scooped it up and rumbled into the end zone for another defensive TD. The Chiefs offense scored three times -- on kicker Ryan Succup's field goals of 27, 41 and 39 yards.

What's that old saying? Oh yeah ...

"Championship teams find a way to win."

They can also thank a rookie QB today and perhaps 6-7 teams that aren't very good as well. Do they have a good defense? You bet, but the fact remains 6 or so teams they've played aren't very good.

Any team in the NFL is good enough to win any game on any given day.

Yeah well tell the jags that cliche. Chiefs have had 6-7 near gimmee games but they are a good team, and andy had a lot to work with, and strong d.

I agree, having a 2-14 the year before gave them a great schedule. However, no team in any major sport in the world -- look it up -- has ever lost over 80% of its games the year before, and started 7-0, much less 9-0, the following year. That includes baseball and its 162-game schedule in the major leagues, the Japanese major leagues' 144-game schedule, and the 82 games played in the NBA and NHL seasons. Yeah, they've got an easier schedule than the Ravens or the 49ers, last year's SB XLVII teams, but no one has ever done what they've done so far, so the schedule isn't the reason. It's part of it, but it's not the reason.

It really doesn't mean that much to me and I am not surprised about their turn around. Most anyone could see they had a very solid team and it was lead by Romeo Crennel. He's plain horrible at HC. So you saying no one has done it before isn't much of a surprise.

As a Vikings fan I can appreciate the difference maker a decent QB and a good coach can make to a team. Just look at the Chiefs. I know it's not quite that simple, but it is a fair assessment.

Too bad my team has neither.
