Make Yourselves Right With God!

Here is what they say....

If you are trying to make yourselves right with God by keeping the law, you have been cut off from Christ! You have fallen away from God’s grace.

Love the legalist, hate the legalism...

"Legalism kills more congregations and stops more individual spiritual development than sin does..."

This is the truth....

All Christians are under the commandments of Jesus Christ!

To be RIGHT with God...

you have to obey all the commandments of Jesus Christ!

For through the law I died to the law, so that I might live to God. I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. I do not nullify the grace of God, for if righteousness were through the law, then Christ died for no purpose. - Galatians 2:19-21

Is this person telling you that you
do not have to obey the commandments of Jesus Christ?

Yes or no?

Yes or no?

"This person" (that is, Paul, writing under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit) is explaining that the law does not and cannot bring about righteousness.

This is a debate forum. Can you state an opinion without condescendingly questioning someone's post?

I do believe this is a statement.

If you are scared to lay it out what you believe and then have it crossed examined for truthfulness......then it is best to not post on a thread of mine.

Because I surely will find any flaws that exist in it.

When you say "law" are
you or Paul, referring to the commandments of Jesus Christ? Yes or no?

The fact that you dismiss the passage of the Word of God I cited as "this person" tells me that you disagree. So why don't you just go ahead and say what you want to say?

I don't have to say a word. If what you believe cannot stand on its own merit why put the blame on me. What I believe is OUT there. No hiding here.

Where do you get that from the Scriptures?
To make a statement like that you must demonstrate it from the Bible.
Do you obey all the commandments of Christ?

You want me to give you verses from the bible that tells you that a child of God is required by God... to obey the commandments of Jesus Christ? Is that what you are asking me to do? yes or no?

You made an assertion that one who is saved keeps all the commands of Christ.
Therefore I ask you to give me at least one scripture where it says that, and secondly, if the scripture means what it says, are you obeying it?
Do you keep all the commandments of Jesus Christ?

I made the assertion that all Christians
are under the commandments of Jesus Christ. Including you.

Now if you do not know what that means or need to be taught...then you need to ask your Sunday school teacher or your pastor to teach you. In a debate I do not have to teach you. The bible is full of verses that has Jesus stating that you have to obey his word to have eternal life.

And regardless if I obey them or not...what I am saying is the truth.

And that is all that matters.

This really is easy to understand. And elementary.

You have 2 people.

One is obeying the commandments of Jesus Christ.

The other is not obeying the commandments of Jesus Christ.

Which one is RIGHT with God?

Which one is not RIGHT with God?

And the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace...

By your post, my explanation of the rules to you, even the nature of what debate is, I would conclude that you are not a saved person. You have not come here to debate, but as a troll and to stir up trouble.
You never tried to answer my question.
And you certainly don't keep the commands of Christ.
By that one point alone, you have condemned yourself.

I'm not blaming you. I'm just asking you a question.

I'm more than confident in the ability of the Word of God to stand on its own merits.

What I believe is OUT there.

I'll say!

Heheh, if Trying2DoRight was listed on the NYSE, I would definitely take a short position with it.
