That quote of Einstein had to do with his early reluctance at accepting the "then new" concept of quantum physics and mechanics. He later acknowledged its veracity. A genuine scientists seeks to know and understand natural truth.

3 Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.

The truth that no one was there to observe it but God. Both theories must be accepted by faith, and I would rather trust a God who has proven Himself that some scientist with an uncorroborated theory full of ifs and maybes.

Here's a Big Bang for Them!

If God said it ... it has to be true! The only big bang in the supernatural world of God will be when He shuts the door for the final time, and no one else can enter in!

Let me see ... in the day's of Noah, He shut the door of the ark with a thud! Then when the five unprepared virgins went to their local 7-11 for oil to fill their empty lamps, they only heard the big bang of the door being shut behind the five virgins who were prepared and allowed to enter in! Matthew 25:10.

There will be one more time the world of the lost hears a big bang, and that day is coming like a thief in the night. The oil is the presence and power of the Holy Ghost in one's life. Make sure your lamps are full, or, you'll be like the rest of the world, looking for something that is no longer available! :tear:

    Shalom!!!

    Natural Truth is an Oxymoron

We spend billions looking for Truth in the Natural World when the answers to the questions of life are in the spiritual world. This is not about seers and séances.

The Creator has given us ample revelation including taking human form to pay our sin debt. The world rejects such revelations. The religious world rejects Him by promulgating a salvation by works.

Real science corroborates the Scripture, not that The Word needs verification. God said what He meant; meant what He said. See Flood of Noah.

Interesting: Albert Einstein could see an intelligence greater than his in E=mc2; but he did not indicate a personal relationship with Jesus. Our intellect is corrupted too; we must be born again--from above-- the boundaries of our universe.

    Even so, come, Lord Jesus.

I agree much James. Although I am grateful for the grace and gift of intellect and rational thought that God has granted to us. Science and investigation into understanding the natural world is not about "seers and seances". It is about observing, recording, forming hypothesis, testing hypothesis and making predictions based upon such. I am grateful it has brought about so many "modern amenities" and particularly in the medical arena. Yes I share with you the same observation about Dr. Einstein. He was exceptionally gifted in the intellect department but for whatever reason, could not extend his conviction in the reality of some "creative force" to a personal God. I so wished that he could have. My hope and wish is everyone to consider the reality of a personal God who desires relationship with us.

There is absolutely nothing in that article that is scientific. It is all made up conjecture. Secondly it is false based on scripture. There was six days of creation, not one.
That being said I do believe in a big bang, but it has not happened yet.

Explosions do not create, they destroy just like floods do not create they destroy.

    2 Peter 3:10
But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, (a big Bang) and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.

A theory is an idea or set of ideas that try and explain facts or events. While the big bang is a theory the bible account is not a theory. The truth is we do not need to observe creation if we have creditable evidence of how it came about. We have the word of God and He is creditable and faith accepts it as written. If the creation account is theory then so is the cross and the resurrection and the whole of the bible and if the bible is theory then we have no faith as faith and theoy are not comaptable which leaves us lost in our sins. Theory is why many fall away. Faith is what keeps us on the path.

You correctly say that faith keeps us on the path. Furthermore, it was faith that put us there. On those occasions when my faith may become weak I simply recall all the prophecies of Scripture that have been fulfilled, particularly those regarding our LORD and Savior, first promised in Genesis 3:15!

I read something an eminent scientist once said. It may have been Einstein, I cannot remember. Anyway, "whoever" said that it seemed their great ideas came almost like a revelation. Of course they had to be smart enough to understand whatever was revealed.

haven't had time to read all the responses but is this in relation to this video where a physicist hears news that his theory known as pi (or is it five) sigma at point two was confirmed as fact ?

so they confirmed that the universe came about with a big bang and an inflation just seconds after.
but who caused the big bang ?
my grandson and I asked me if I believed in evolution while we were watching this show about scientists looking for an earth walking fish that they hoped could be proof that we came from where they say we came from.
I said, "well, most of the books I've read contain these phrases: 'might be', 'could be', 'suspected', 'believed to be', 'could have been', 'well could be', and so on. he got the drift.
then the show ended with the 'scientists' discovering the fossils of a land-walking fish.
grandson says: 'look, gramps, they did find one'.
grampa says: well, I'll be. but they still have to prove that's the missing link.
so they say they have proof the universe began with a big bang.
    so what ?
as far as this gramps is concerned they haven't proven God is not.
in fact, their discovery, if true, proves God IS.

Theists like myself thing the Big Bang resulted from a force unknown to science causing the "singularity" to expand. Science, as we know it precludes a singularity from expanding. Science would say the unknown cause was not God, but that is a religious assertion without evidence.

Note the article mentioned what was before the singularity, creating worlds within worlds and wheels within wheels. This too is a religious assertion that the Universe did not have a "in the beginning" moment.

Finally, I did not understand why inflation to the size of a grapefruit would answer the problem of not enough time to cool. And if "inflation" supports a universe much larger than what we are aware of, why would that not reduce the time to reach the known edge to six days or so. :)

    QF,

    With all this speculation about THE BIG BANG.......contrary to scripture.....where was God when this occured...was he ;

1] a spectator...he waited until it happened and learned....as Winman would suggest?

2] Did he exist in a vacuum?

3] Did he emerge from the big bang himself , and was not really from everlasting?

Everyone who wants to jump up and down and fawn over these "scientists procalamtions and vain speculations"....never seem to answer these questions.

Did your "interesting Scientists" have any idea about this?

Well ICON and others....for myself and MANY other believing folk who are also scientifically minded...it is absolutely without question that the BB was "brought about" by God. To an atheist scientist, yes they would view it as a totally natural, yet unexplained physical event. To a theist, it is a supernatural creative act of God.

God has always existed, before the universe and the cosmos all you and I can say is HE existed in completion. Even time, as we understand it did not exist, but HE and the Godhead did.

No HE is NOT a spectator, HE is the cause.

No, HE did not "arise" out of or as a result of the BB.
