You know anyone wanting to offer some input on the book Heaven is for Real is welcome to do so. Complaints,criticisms, and as I would call it Biblical Discerning Bereans (whom were more noble) will offer Biblical insight. I am not saying the folks here will listen, but you never know what God can do. Please be polite and do not name call, or attack any of these pastors personally for that would not be Godly. However by all means attack the doctrines in the book and correct them with scripture. Ask yourself What did Jesus do? and or as Pastor Dave would say What would Jesus Do?

While I believe I disagree with the premise of the book I haven’t read it so cannot offer much comment or any insight. From what I understand it is about someone dying and going to heaven only to return. I understand that it is a child’s impression of what Heaven will be like. I see no value in the book/movie other than perhaps shallow motivational, sentimental, or entertainment value. I may read it in the next day or so (if it is available electronically at the library). If so, I’ll have a right to an opinion.

What did you think about the book (or movie...whichever you saw/read)? Are you going to comment to the guy?

The interesting thing is that this boy never actually died. He never stopped breathing, his heart never stopped and he never "coded". So then this was a boy who "went to heaven" not even having died.

The ONLY out of Body experience that we need to heed was that of paul, and better yet, heed the ONLY One who really died and resurrected back!

They wouldn’t have gone to Heaven (pre-resurrection of Christ) - that's why I mentioned Tabatha. Anyway, I think it is a secular view of Heaven that is presented in these types of books (does Scripture describe us going to a heaven as described by these people or of Heaving coming down and all things being made new?).

paul was forbidden to speak on things he saw by God, so think we have all that God wants us to know about this subject in the Bible, no need to seek out any out of body experiences in either book/movies!

My name is John and my ministry function is as a "The Way of the Master street evangelist" and a occasional Sunday School teacher at my church. I am aware of your best selling book that has turned into a movie and I have some concerns.

If you are truly a believer in Christ why do you doubt the Bible and why do you challenge the Apostle Paul whom could not even speak on his experience?

2 Cor 12:2-4 (NIV)
I know a man in Christ who fourteen years ago was caught up to the third heaven. Whether it was in the body or out of the body I do not know—God knows.3 And I know that this man—whether in the body or apart from the body I do not know, but God knows— 4 was caught up to paradise and heard inexpressible things, things that no one is permitted to tell.

Also Lazarus was raised from the dead and his experience after death was not recorded in the scripture. Why is it that Colton could have an experience that is more authoritative than the Biblical accounts? Todd I give you a kind and gentle warning that it is not right to make a profit off a false and unbiblical account and God will surely judge you for doing this. You may be a good person, but your actions will not go unnoticed.

Don't bother. The substance of the book was argued here sometime back. It's poop.

Anyway, I recommend the old negro spiritual, I Got Shoes. Absolute rock-solid theology and the proper, metaphorical view of Heaven.

You will need to explain yourself. You are not known by most here to have a positive reputation so I won't give your view the benefit of the doubt.

But using a crude word to describe Randy is very disturbing. I have one of his books and disagree with you. However have not read Heaven. But I will trust Ann over you if you can't make a argument.

It isn't because they weren't there, now is it? Where else would they have been called back from eternity? Hell?

God chose not to have the Bible expound on their temporary absence. That's all.
