Why I love Ray Comfort

Have you ever heard him open Air? I listened to a recent WOTM podcast and a female heckler was trying to preach her friendship/lifestyle type evangelism nonsense which means (everyday the gospel is preached and sometimes words are used) which is a common myth, and Ray was shouting her down, openly confronting her in front of 100 people. It was awesome as he gave her no mercy nor benefit of the doubt as she spread her nonsense. It was awesome! Check him out.

Knew a man that open aired years ago. Someone soaked him with ice water when his back was turned - he turned and said "That's okay, in the old days they threw rocks."

You have built up comfort like a child would a comic book character.
So he mocked and ridiculed a sister in Christ? Awesome, what a rock star.

Do you have a link to the podcast? Looked him up and watched one video (which he was, IMHO, articulate in engaging and sharing the gospel to a non-Christian).

Anyone who would think that to be a myth apparently doesn't know how to live a Christian life to begin with. I pity anyone who could state that as their own accepted "fact."

:thumbsup: It is amazing, however, how that concept has caught on (perhaps as a reaction to some presenting the gospel without living the gospel?).

I could be wrong, but from Evangelist's description in the OP, I believe this is probably the video he watched. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZJpNt00wo38

I don’t think he “won” that one, but it was interesting.

Evangelist,

I find it interesting that Ray Comfort has devoted so much to spread the gospel yet apparently takes a bit of flack from those within the church. If I listened to the right file (the radio broadcast that ended with a clip of Comfort debating a woman about "using words when necessary," I don’t think he showed the woman “no mercy” - rather he showed her great mercy. What he did not do was compromise.

BTW, this is the one that I watched:

I was impressed at the level of respect he gave to the agnostic gentleman and that he took the time to communicate (although, granted, through a led path) with the guy. I really don’t know much about Comfort, but he seems to articulate the gospel well.

You need to actually post the very sermon you listened to. There are many sermons at that site, please copy and paste the address of this particular sermon in the OP.

Can you judge a book by its cover? - 4/11/2014

God is a dreamer? Says who? To open air or not to open air, that is the question. Original Air Date October 17, 2007, Part 2. Downloads are made available for personal use only. Use for commercial or broadcast purposes must be approved prior by Living Waters.

My error then. But did you listen to the entire podcast? Lots of clips of Ray come in and out of the entire podcast. Ray is convicted on the gospel and convicted the friendship evangelism that woman promoted is wrong.
