The Crown of Life

"Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him." --- James 1:12

"Fear none of these things which thou shalt suffer; behold the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days; be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life." --- Revelation 2:10

Just what exactly is this "crown of life" that James and John wrote about?

Is it a physically tangible crown such as those that are worn by human royalty, or is it something completely different than that?

What do you believe it is?

Eternal Life with God. After the General Resurrection and Judgment that will occur in the New Heavens and New Earth as shown in Revelation 21 & 22. Until that time those who are redeemed will be with God where ever HE is!

Scripture speaks of other crowns but I believe they are all the same!
