So you read. That does not an expert make. Seminary has been the downfall of many a novice!

Well since I wasn't around when all this went down, reading and classes are what is available to me. Didn't claim to be an expert, remember? Lack of seminary has also been the downfall of many a novice.

Evolution is not creation and that is a fact. Evolution is time and chance, trial and error. That is not GOD!

Scripture tells us clearly that death entered because of the rebellion of Adam:

1st Corinthians 15:20-22
20. But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept.
21. For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead.
22. For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.

Evolution tells an entirely different story. Both cannot be correct!

No that is NOT a fact. I will not be disrespectful to you, but your statement simply is not true.

It may be "intellectually" true for the completely naturalistic atheist.

Yes, but also as a man to humans without Creator level knowledge.

It isn't a matter of trusting Jesus over or instead of science. Jesus spoke at a specific time and place to a particular people with a particular basis of knowledge. It wasn't that Jesus couldn't explain Creation, or anything else for that matter, in great detail that would shame modern scientists, not at all. He affirmed their understanding, because it was accurate for that time and place and did not promote further error, in order to make a greater more important point. He accommodated himself to the limits of humanity.

So you are saying that Jesus was not speaking as God there?

That he either did not know/lied/said wrongly?

And when he talked about Demons possessing people, was that just to accomodate their thinking of that time then?

Not an expert. I am a reader and had to take Old Testament classes while taking classes from seminary. There is plenty out there to read on the subject, are you asking for recommendations?

Is that seminary harvard/Yale for religious studies?

As it sounds like very into liberal/critical approaching the scriptures!

No. There are several credible opinions other than a literal interpretation, though a literal interpretation isn't entirely out of the question. There could have been two historical people named Adam and Eve who sinned against God. No issues there. I lean toward Adam and Eve being representative of humanity rejecting God. When the Fall happened or who were the first to Fall is an interesting question if you're into such discussions. There can little doubt however to the reality of a Fall, the clear evidence is well documented throughout ancient and modern history. Salvation is not dependent on believing someone else sinned first, it begins with understanding that I am a sinner and will one day be held accountable for my sin.

It's not an unimportant question, the when or who of the Fall, it is more important that we understand we are indeed fallen, desperately in need of a Savior.

Jesus and paul affirmed that there were 2 historical humans called afam?Eve, that there was a literal Fall, as genesis account not allegory/myth...

Its not "might be/cpi;d be" as it happened in real history...

Were Jesus and paul both wrong about this then?

Both cannot be true, in the absolute sense of the term, as they mutually contridict each other!

Your zeal has led you astray. Read the passage again and read it slowly, especially verse 21 and 22. Well just read the entire passage, but slowly! Then rethink your last remark. Period!

It says everything died. If you're getting at the insects, that wasn't even the original point, the point is that there would be more than 3 million animals on the ark if evolution did not exist in any shape or form. There simply wasn't enough room. You can't brush this off by saying well the animals who could survive the flood just wasn't on the ark. That's not what it says, it says everything not on the ark died. How about you re-read it and tell me which of those three verses says that there were some animals who weren't on the ark that survived anyway.

You apparently don't understand Scripture:

Genesis 7:13-16
13. In the selfsame day entered Noah, and Shem, and Ham, and Japheth, the sons of Noah, and Noah’s wife, and the three wives of his sons with them, into the ark;
14.They, and every beast after his kind, and all the cattle after their kind, and every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth after his kind, and every fowl after his kind, every bird of every sort.
15. And they went in unto Noah into the ark, two and two of all flesh, wherein is the breath of life.
16. And they that went in, went in male and female of all flesh, as God had commanded him: and the LORD shut him in.

Notice verse 14 which tells what went into the Ark. What did not go into the Ark?

Now notice who died in the Flood:

Genesis 7:21-23
21. And all flesh died that moved upon the earth, both of fowl, and of cattle, and of beast, and of every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth, and every man:
22. All in whose nostrils was the breath of life, of all that was in the dry land, died.
23. And every living substance was destroyed which was upon the face of the ground, both man, and cattle, and the creeping things, and the fowl of the heaven; and they were destroyed from the earth: and Noah only remained alive, and they that were with him in the ark.

Not all living creatures were in the Ark!

You are wasting your time. He thinks he is smarter than all the scholars and scientists who would refute his personal assertion.

Actually Rev, scripture could just as likely be referring to spiritual death, but there have been numerous discussions about that. But just wanted to remind you of that.

Before the fall, there was no sin in creation of God, so no death, so Evolution fails to explain that truth!
