Are Americans Rude

More America bashing I see

 

I miss talking with Americans --even ones I disagree with.

 

Why don't you go ask the Parisians to comment. See what they tell you. :laugh:

Yeah, life's too short to not be a total idiot. But you don't have to demonstrate over and over.

 

Why on earth would you want to be critiqued by Parisans.......now there is RUDE!

Americans I have met have been never rude, in fact the manners I have seen are delightful, even though they may seem quaint to my eyes. I do not particularly like being called "ma'am", as it is a name I associate with houses of ill repute. Of course, the American calling me that would be pretty horrified if I so embarrassed them by saying so.

I have not had a wide range of meeting Americans from different economic strata or cultural background. I do recall cringeing in Singapore whilst in a large shop crowded with people and hearing 2 strident American women with voices that you could sharpen an axe on.

 

Better learn Rolf, I was told that God only talks French:smilewinkgrin:.......by a Frenchman of course!!!

 

Here ma am is a sign of respect for a lady.

 

I know that Rev Mitchell, but from childhood that is the connotation for ME. :thumbs:

 

Never met a rude American yet. We have always been impressed by their lovely manners.

Now, if you want rude then look at the French and Italians in our experience !
