Demonic spirits and their tactics

Get a load of this. A demonic spirit pretended to be Satan and to choke a charismatic preacher. I have never heard of such a thing but I bet that devil would be in trouble with Satan for impersonation. You should read this book called Satan's Evangelistic Strategy for this New Age. Although from 1989 it has much truth for today. Then it was New Age but today it's integrated into the church. Woe how low the church has gone since 1989!

satan would not bother to choke many Charasmatic teachers, as much of their theology has come from him!

In all fairness, I have seen as much excess in the SBC as I have seen in Charismatic circles. Usually the excess in SBC tilts toward liberalism. I believe we can find fault with ourselves in as much quantity as we can find fault with charismatics, if we look hard enough. Seems that the major problem with Charismatics is that it is the most extreme that buy the most tv time.

So if we put all these threads together: Dungeons and Dragons leads to drug abuse which in turn makes you a charismatic Arminian who gets choked by a demon impersonating the devil.

Christianity was a lot less complicated when we just avoided card playing and dancing.

I have come to the conclusion, after watching couples dance up here for years and years, that there is nothing wrong with it on it's face. I see the same married couples time after time, swinging each other around in a pre-planned pattern. It is really something to see. They don't look vulgar doing it, they dress modestly, cowboy boots, jeans, and nice dresses. I love watching these folks dance. They love dancing with each other, and are VERY good at it.

There is sinful dance, no doubt, but I don't think it's all bad.

But P.D., you are still one of the best.

Cards ? Different story. I don't know many folks who have danced their rent money away.

Playing cards are another one of those things that someone, somewhere, started with good intentions and then it morphed into a legalistic thing. Of course, if you play cards and gamble and it becomes an addiction then it's a bad thing. Where churches went to far is saying anything with cards is bad. I've heard people say that playing solitaire is a sin because it uses playing cards!

The big difference though is that Baptists, at least the one I hang around with, do not laim modern day Apostles/Prophets and ongoing revelations from God, as many in Charasmatic circles do!
