What Will Be Heavens biggest SURPRIZE to You?

I got to wondering the other night, since none of us really know what heaven is going to be like, other than from the few hints here and there in the Bible--things like the mansion He has gone to prepare for us. And streets paved with gold that appear like transparent glass, and the rivers flowing by the streets, and tree of life!

Plus we read, "There is a constant chant of holy angels that are continually proclaiming Holy, Holy, Holy over the throne of God. The Mercy Seat in heaven where God sits is surrounded by magnificent angels full of glory and power that proclaim and bless the holy name of God without ceasing. Some of these are described as beasts, full of eyes, with six wings and neither rest day or night in their proclaiming the holiness of God." (Rev. 4:8-11).

There is a more physical description of heaven in Rev. 21:10-27, giving a description of the walls surrounding heaven, etc.

With this spiritual supernatural peek into the place, we will be one-day call home forever; I want to ask a hypothetical type question that I pray gets some response, because if there is one thing, I believe to be true about heaven it is that all of us will be totally, literally and figuratively surprised by a lot of things we come to find.

So what do you anticipate being the biggest surprise in heaven when you arrive?

If we were to see heaven as we are now I think we'd just lose it all. Surprise? I don't know. Would you consider being so overwhelmed we'll be awe-struck..., and remain that way for eternity?

That's what I think too. I think just the whole greatness of God, seeing Him face to face, seeing His glory - that is enough surprise for an eternity!

People who are actually expecting that we will live in heaven will be surprised to find out that we won't.

I do not believe we will have any memory of earth, our friends, or family. That was for here. Up there we will serve him, and not worry about anything else. Our tears wiped away forever.

My family has been fraught with tragedy from the beginning. I certainly don't want to drag these awful memories up there.

Ugh. There are so many folk "gospel" songs about going to Heaven to see one's mother again.

What it really means to know God and all He is, so completely. I will most likely be stunned at His Glory, His majesty, His awesome capacity to love us so much, and His wonderful generosity.
