What is your take to church Bible that you rely on?

Mine is the NKJV.

NKJV.

Blah blah blah blah (to satisfy the idiotic BB requirement that the simple truth is too short). <rolls eyes>

So, ITL, you're one of those that make the Preacher wonder are you reading along or playing a game. Paper is preferred.

A lot of folks at my church use phones and tablets. And I typically sit 200 feet from the pulpit, so I don't think he can see me.

Dung, "200 feet from the pulpit" that just hit me. Man, how big is your Church?

Maybe it's 150 feet. Dunno. I think the main sanctuary seats 3,000 and the chapel does 500. Most people bring paper Bibles.

YouVersion for Nook or Windows Phone, usually ESV or Lexham English Bible.

NIV as well and Bible app. I sit on the second row. Very close to the pulpit. I don't use my Bible app. I don't want the pastor to think I'm on social media or playing solitaire. Instead, I doodle on my bulletin.

attaboy! Makes him think you're taking notes. Keep up the good encouragement. He needs it.

I have an nice ESV Bible that I LOVE but it's gotten so I can't read it without my glasses. I will sometimes use my phone if for some reason I forgot to put my Bible in my church bag. I just prefer to have the paper one because it's the Bible I mark up and I am a visual person and I love to see the physical paper with the highlights, marks and writing in it. :)

I'm actually on my second Thompson Chain Reference KJV. I have several copies, so one tends to stay in my car and the others at home. I wore out the first copy by putting too many bookmarks in it and eventually wearing down the spine. It now sits in a drawer at home.
