For starters I would say that at least two are heretical: #18 regarding Ms. White and #24 regarding investigative judgment. More later!

There are 28 points in the OFFICIAL SDA COF

How many points do you disagree with?

I agree with all of them - because I am SDA. I would be surprised if non-SDAs agreed to all 28. I would find that hard to explain. I signed up for 16+ because "COF" is not a term used by SDAs and I usually stick with the terms used by the documents themselves. So "Baptist Confession of Faith" is the title given to the document itself. I do not make that up "for it".

And what about #6??

6. Creation:
God is Creator of all things, and has
revealed in Scripture the authentic account of His creative activity. In six days the Lord made "the heaven and the earth" and all living things upon the earth, and rested on the seventh day of that first week. Thus He established the Sabbath as a perpetual memorial of His completed creative work. The first man and woman were made in the image of God as the crowning work of Creation, given dominion over the world, and charged with responsibility to care for it. When the world was finished it was ``very good,'' declaring the glory of God. (Gen. 1; 2; Ex. 20:8-11; Ps. 19:1-6; 33:6, 9; 104; Heb. 11:3.)

Do you seem "some difference" between that SDA version and this -- as well as some similarities?

The ON LY things that matters concerning what the SDA officially holds with is that they have another Gospel, and a false prophetess, and that they make obeying the law required to "merit" salvation from God, so a Cult by all accepted definitions!

Baptists do NOT honor them equal to scripture, yet SDA does see words and teachings of prophetess as additional revelations from God, and we see the bible ONLY for ANY revelations from God!

Baptists do NOT honor them equal to scripture, !

That is a rabbit trail -- it goes nowhere because I do not state that the BCoF tells Baptists "what to think" -- rather I claim that section 22 as quoted reflects accurately what some Baptists do believe to be true.

I claim the same thing about the 28 FB for Seventh-day Adventists. They do not believe them because the document tells them to, rather the document is written to reflect what they believe and inform those who ask so you know you are not getting "one guy's opinion" for the answer as to what the denomination actually agrees to.

The point remains. :)

here is an example of a simple comparison of a doctrine -- no need to be 'timid'.

Mrs White never saw that document

I thought SDA believed she spoke for God!

The Gift of Prophecy
One of the gifts of the Holy Spirit is prophecy. This gift is an identifying mark of the remnant church and was manifested in the ministry of Ellen. G. White. As the Lord’s messenger, her writings are a continuing and authoritative source of truth which provide for the church comfort, guidance, instruction, and correction. They also make clear that the Bible is the standard by which all teaching and experience must be tested. (Joel 2:28, 29; Acts 2:14-21; Heb. 1:1-3; Rev. 12:17; 19:10.)

Sort of like the RCC and the pope!

Ellen White died in 1915.

The 27 FB were voted in the 1980's

Modified to the 28 FB in 2005.

you do the math. :)

Ellen White's gift of prophecy is the one the Bible talks about and works the way the Bible says it does -- at least that is the belief that SDAs have on that subject.

You need to get out more - and meet more Catholics.

They do not claim that the Pope's "ex cathedra" statements are only "infallible" if he is given the gift of prophecy, they do not connect the two at all.

And they will fight tooth and nail on their forums if you bring up the idea "the Bible is the standard by which all teaching and experience must be tested. (Joel 2:28, 29; Acts 2:14-21; Heb. 1:1-3; Rev. 12:17; 19:10.)"

Enough about Catholics - lets talk about Seventh-day Adventists.

What's the difference?

My experience has been there is very little real difference if at all.

And the SDA are dead wrong about Ms. White just as the RCC are about the pope! You are both following a false prophet or prophetess!

I believe I have spelled it out in that prior post of mine. -- if some detail is still confusing for you please let us know what it is - I am glad to explain it. If you are simply wanting to use your free will to adopt a "deny all and don't bother with facts' well I would not want to get in the way of your free will. :)
