The Arabs were promised Palestine in October 1915. This promise was never fulfilled, indeed it was destroyed by the Balfour Declaration and the actions of those western nations who had made the promise. Western nations, yea, the world is still grappling with the problems caused by this deception.

Even though Palestine was not able to control her own destiny, it was on the basis of the recognition of her independence that the Covenant of the League of Nations determined a system of government for her. Her existence and her independence among the nations can, therefore, no more be questioned de jure than the independence of any of the other Arab States... Therefore, the States signatory to the Pact of the Arab League consider that in view of Palestine's special circumstances, the Council of the League should designate an Arab delegate from Palestine to participate in its work until this country enjoys actual independence.

One reason Balfour issued the declaration was political, it was an attempt to convince Jewish leaders they should support England and the allies.

Lloyd George admits this in his memoirs when he calls the Balfour Declaration propaganda.

In his Memoirs, published in 1939, Lloyd George further elucidated his position:[21]
"The Balfour Declaration represented the convinced policy of all parties in our country and also in America, but the launching of it in 1917 was due, as I have said, to propagandist reasons... The Zionist Movement was exceptionally strong in Russia and America... Actually there's more to it than that. There was a deal struck between the British government and the Zionists. If the Brits would be conducive to a Jewish home in Palestine, Zionists would push America to enter the war on the side of the British. Declining Palestinian Christian population fears its churches are turning into museums

I have no idea what haggeeite is.

But just because I believe that God's promise to Israel is eternal certainly does not mean that I worship Israel. I am certainly not an idolater any more than a Calvinist worships Calvin, a Lutheran worship Luther or a Baptist worships Roger Williams.
