ALL qualify as being bible cults though, as all of them teach another Gospel, and all of them see themselves as being the true church, and all of them have extra biblcal so called revelations!

he could very well be saved, but it would be despite what his church believes in, as that statement of belief is NOT true Christianity!

And the admonition would be to him and Bob Ryan to come out of their Cults, and join a good Baptist church!

Here it is:

You know what, I think I am gonna vent for a few minutes. I am a member of an independent BAPTIST church. When I departed Oneness Pentecostalism, I searched for a good reformed Baptist fellowship. In a city the size of Houston, I am traveling 25 miles one way to a church that preaches expositionally and whose hermeneutics are biblical. Let me reiterate, I am attending a BAPTIST church.

I find these seeker sensative churches are more concerned about becoming more appealing to the carnally minded man than to the extreme scandal of the Gospel message. We should be seeker sensative, but the true seeker is Jesus Christ and we should be sensative to Him. This is why I am where I am, and I am not ashamed to be called Baptist.

"I am unashamedly Apostolic. Been down many roads, received much grace, but through it all, the truth of the Word has been a calling point for me time and again. I am not ashamed to say I believe in one God and His name one. I am not ashamed to say I hold to Jesus name baptism. I am not ashamed to say I believe in Holy Ghost baptism. I am not ashamed to say I believe in holiness, in repentance, in a right and wrong according to the Word of God, and that we must stand for truth."

This is an excellent reason why a church should examine a candidate for membership.

Based upon his own words then, he has not renounced the heretical teachings of that group, and may the Lord reveal to him the real Gospel of Jesus Christ!
