Huckabee meets with Netanyahu in advance of U.S. visit

"In the run up to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's address to Congress next month, add another 2016 Republican presidential hopefuls to list going out of his way to stand with the Israeli leader."

He's already paid homage to the masters and performed the vetting ritual on at least two other occasions, so he should be good to go after this groveling:

Huckabee rocks !!!!

Another "I'm for limited federal government until I'm not" guy.

And yes it is very troubling to see a man who professes Christ bowing before an idol. And I don't have anything against the Jews there, (OR ANYWHERE), but I do feel sorry for the folks who think this is anything but a cheap, pandering, publicity stunt.

Is he Catholic ? He must be. He's on FAUX News, right ?

Huck, being a former SB preacher from Arkansas is undoubtedly a pre-trib-dispensationalist.

I have said many times that I support the nation Israel. With me it is certainly not a theological issue. In my pin they are no longer a special people to God! Israel is the only democracy in the Middle East. The Muslims don't like Israel and I don't like Muslims, especially the radical Islamists who would like nothing better than to slit the throat of every person on the BB, including the redneck refugee from Bloody Breathitt!

I basically agree with you, the nation of Israel is a political issue. The pictures posted by Kyred are almost embarrasing to look at. To me this is another McCain/Romney type candidate. I know many disagree with me raking Republican nominees over the coals, but for at least the last two elections and further back, you have to admit it is so frustrating to have to vote for a McCain or Huckabee. Other examples are Christy and McConnell. The thing that makes me a little more optimistic is several really conservatives running like Cruz, Carson, Rubio, Paul and Walker. Just imagine just once in our life to have two candidates so outstanding you could vote for either.

Oh, the rabbit hole goes much deeper than this. This 'vetting ritual' is an absolute must for any serious presidential contender, Republican or Democrat, period:

What in the world is wrong with Huckabee?

Absolutely nothing, he would be great for those who want a president that will place Israel's interests above America's.

Not a chance in the world he even has a chance.

OK, so the thing that is wrong with Huckabee is that he won't get elected. I'm asking about his policy positions, previous political record, and beyond that, his personality. What's wrong in these areas?

Yes, we know about your pet issue. What else ya got?

Congrats on being the first slanderer to post on the thread.

My 'pet issue' is hope for the future of my children and their children's children, etc. Beins' we're already >19 trillion dollars in debt doesn't bode well for their economic outlook. Bush put two wars 'on the credit card' and technically we've yet to pay the first dime on either because we haven't stopped borrowing yet. The neocons will have us go to war with Iran.

IOW, America is my 'pet issue'. Israel is the 'pet issue' of the dispy evangelicals that dominate this board.

When it comes down to it, Huckabee is a big-government-knows-best-for-you, high tax, neo-conservative, interventionist and would continue along with Bush, Clinton, Bush, Obama style policies.

Looks like I can dig out my Chuck For Huck T-shirt . I generally like Huckabee, but don't think he has a chance.
