Actually it's more akin to blasphemy than it is to bragging.

I was out soul winning. Jesus dragged me along and used me as His mouthpiece. I don't know why you've got a problem with that.

I don't have a problem bragging on Jesus. I'll brag about Him saving you too.

Do you say this to missionaries that go out of your church, or those visiting? Or do you not believe in missions?

It's a pertinent question. Soul winners should be able to give an account of the professions made on account of their evangelical efforts. It's important. Missionaries often provide statistics when soliciting donations. I have DIRECTLY financially supported missionaries in the past.

I was questioning whether you asked the following to missionaries:

"Couldn't you find any souls needing saving close to home, or do you already have all those saved?"

No, that was directed at Zaac for a very 'pertinent' reason.

Anyone can claim to have gone on a mission trip. I want him to tell us about it.

He did come onto this thread belittling my concern for my children's children chidren, you know.

He's asked for the scrutiny. Let's see if he can bear it. If you consider me a jerk for my skepticism, so be it. I probably won't sleep over eight hrs tonight fretting about it.

You said you had just returned from being gone from the states. Where did you go? Is it a secret?

Actually it is.

There are plenty of times that when we commission teams, we don't say where they are going.

And I know Southern Baptists like numbers. But if I come back and told you that there were no professions, would God have not still been glorified in the going?

I'm just not the counting salvation profession type.

OK, it's a secret. You've been on a secret mission. And we're all wrong for talking politics on the Politics Forum.

Gotcha.

Is that what you're in a huff about? My apologies. I was merely asking, as followers of Christ, shouldn't we be less concerned about the economic viability of this non-eternal country's economics and more concerned about people's eternal salvation?

I just see so much on this board about how we need to get the country back to the old days or take our country back or how we want to do whatever for our grandkids.

A lot of folks, from my POV, on here seem to be overly concerned with the non-eternal and not so much so about the eternal.

If the USA spirals to third world status, being concerned about an uneternal economic outlook just doesn't seem that important in the light of billions spending eternity in the lake of fire.

Man you know the Jesus Christ in me can handle all the ugliness people can throw.

This is the Politics Forum. It's specifically for discussion of worldly events, and you're chiding us with this holier than thou tude for doing just that. If you're so spiritual/biblical minded, why don't I ever read your posts on the religion forums instead of posting all your race baiting garbage on the other forums? Surely you can understand my skepticism concerning your supposed concerns for the spiritual welfare of others in secret places.

It's a secret. He can't tell you where he's been. He's like the BB's very own secret agent man.

Have you been over to the Islamic Caliphate winning souls?

Yep. A few times as a matter of fact. Recently as well. Just no need to say exactly where.

I've literally had people in the Islamic caliphate say, and I believe that I've mentioned this before, that they are tired of Islam because it's brought them nothing but death and destruction. They want something else.

The good ole holier than thou refrain. Please find some new material. I guess Jesus is not to be acknowledged in the Politics forum.

I go where the Doctor is needed.

Your skepticism concerns me not. Why on earth do you think I don't bother replying to the questions of certain people no matter how many times they ask?

You're not trying to listen. You simply want to be heard.
