I don't see that there is a platform yet. Ted Cruz is the candidate of the Tea Party GOP, so they say.

Tea Party GOP - no such party.

Other then the Tea Party which ran a couple of candidates in NY back a couple of years ago - The Tea Party is not a political party.

Ok. I'm not really Tea Party because I think that economic issues are intertwined with moral issues. But I think that Cruz has a moral stand. Cruz has not been my favorite but he is impressive, especially as an old-fashioned stump speaker and debater. He has an Ivy League education, but, surprisingly, he is old-fashioned in that matter also after so many decades of leftists graduating from the Ivy League.

Of course, for me, it is fascinating that he is of Cuban ancestry and is against the communist gulag of the Castros and against the unspeakable crimes against humanity of the racist Castros.

Ted Cruz will be to the right of anyone else who runs.

But he will compromise his limited government positions when it comes to marriage, marijuana, and other pet issues with the Republicans, which will also sit well with them.

But he won't be able to raise money like Romney, or Jeb Bush.

Romney seems okay but he was born into a false religion and that hampers his thinking. Bush is just wasting his money; he is highly intelligent, like his father, but his family has been around for 100 years (counting US Senator Prescott Bush, the grandfather) and people want the Bush Family to do something else besides political public service.

Cruz has too many debating skills for Jeb Bush. You have to say that Cruz is up from poverty.

How does being a Mormon hamper his thinking?

Salty, Mitt does not have the Holy Ghost. How can one make it without the help of the Holy Ghost?

And he will not hesitate to send the US military into conflict areas and get us entangled in other people's problems.

For the record, please give us a specific example of what Cruz might do to entangle the USA in other people's problems.

Are you saying, Carpro, that Hillary will not follow Obama's foreign policy?

As an over-generality, republicans will not hesitate to send troops to overseas conflicts; democrats will attempt to utilize escalating methods, such as drones, airstrikes, etc.

We need to win the war against terror and I can't see the Democrats doing that.

I do not see either party doing that. Remember Algeria and France? Remember South Africa and England? Remember India and England? Remember? Remember Portugal and their African holdings? Etc., etc., etc.

This is going to be with us for a very long time.

I don't understand your point. Algeria threw out all foreigners and now it is an Islamic bloodbath. I don't see how English and Portuguese colonies are involved with terrorism against the Europeans--please explain.

To my thinking, the war on terror is Islam against all other religions with Islam resorting to violence since 700 AD whenever they could.

When you have a president that can't bring himself to say Islam and terrorist in the same sentence, you have to realize democrats are not capable of defeating the enemy. They can't even call them by name.

And that should tell ya something. As bad as they were with the Holy Spirit, just think how bad Romney would probably be without It.
