You are the SDA. I don't believe in keeping the Sabbath. Your question doesn't apply to me, so quit dodging the question. If you believe in keeping the Sabbath, as you claim, how do you keep the Sabbath, and is it Biblical. Give some evidence from the Bible.

Is it that you do not desire to die, that you may "follow" Him into it? Is it that you would rather keep a set of your own commandments, and not His, your own righteousness and not His? Please help me to understand, why you would refuse the one commandment, which speaks to the God who Creates and Redeems?

Can you tell me DHK how your refusal of His very Commandment, doesn't crucify Jesus Christ afresh every time you openly, as Pharaoh, say that you will not regard the "vain words" of His Law?

Do you think the Holy angels of Heaven will look upon you with kindness, as you spit upon those sacred hours, purchased at the cost of the blood of the Son of God?

How do you think the Father felt, DHK, in the suffering of His only begotten Son, even unto death, that you would even have the grace/time bestowed to choose Him, and repent, and obey.

Repent, brother DHK, repent at such wondrous love of God for you, and take off your filthy sandals, and remove your dirty feet, from trampling upon the Son of God, for the time He spent, in Creation, in the Tomb, is forever Holy.

In the very Commandment is the name of God, and He promises to write that name in our hearts, as Creator/Redeemer, sealed in Holiness unto the LORD.

There are many today, professing to believe in Jesus and to believe in the Word, who are even now plotting and others even already crucifying afresh the Son of God, not in person as the Religious Leaders of those days had done, but today they crucify the Moral/Spiritual Law of God, His Ten Commandments, for they say that it is "nailed to the Cross" and "dead".

They despise it as that 'old Jewish' Law... Just as Christ was crowned King of the Jews with a crown of thorns... mock and deride the Law as they did to Christ, and humiliate it, and they pierce the very heart of the Ten Commandments, where the very name of God is found, and who He is, in attacking the Sabbath of His rest.

They do not know what they do... and yet in their beliefs, statements and actions, they verily cry out, "Crucify Him!, Crucify Him!" For they would "nail to the Cross" His very character... and also not only despise the Head in so doing, but also His body which is connected to Him...

Do we not understand what was there done?, not even but the tiniest fragments of light do we comprehend, for it will be something to contemplate throughout eternity, becoming ever brighter and more glorious in the Light of God's glorious Love.

Do we not see that John witnessed... the Son of God, living breathing, warm, God touching humanity through humanity, caring, compassionate, tenderhearted...

...and with what cruelty we have treated Him, with what disdain we have for His Holy Law, the King of All Heaven, Justice, Mercy and Love!

Such an infinite price was paid, knowing in advance that most would even spurn it, and cast it back in His face as worthless, as dung... the blood of the Son of God, pouring from His flesh to uphold the Justice and Love of God together!

John handled the Word of Life, and knew Him personally... living... personality...

...John saw the Son of God heart broken upon the Cross, between Heaven and earth, the atoning sacrifice.

In John 13 we are given a new commandment by Jesus to love one another.

Are we not called to love God and our neighbor every day?

The logical conclusion of your explanation is then that the Sabbath has been eliminated - or that every day is the Sabbath.

There is only one specific day in the week [Genesis 1-2, etc] that is the Sabbath of the LORD thy God, and it is the Holy 7th Day, and not other, hence the definite article "the" throughout, and no the indefinite "a".

Err... ummm... except the many times I have stated that the SDA church has never said that only Sabbath keepers go to heaven ... much less that only SDAs go to heaven. In fact we don't even argue that Christians are the only ones that go to heaven because of what Romans 2 says about those who have no access to the bible at all being lead by the Holy Spirit.

Sabbath keepers today - do as did the saints in Christ's day on the "preparation day" Friday - the day before the Sabbath.

The Jews setup spies to watch Christ and see if he violated one of their made up rules. If you are suggesting that a similar system be setup today - then by all means.

But for the rest of us - the actual Bible texts will do just fine.

This is as much as a detailed answer that we have from you, and it still is not the Biblical method of keeping the Sabbath.
What do you mean you "don't engage in secular activity"? I am sure you do.
Do you drive a car? You show up at your SDA church. How do you get there? Do some of you get there by public transportation? Can you honestly say that there is no activity that you do that is not secular in nature, like walking perhaps??

Does everything that proceeds out of your mouth for that 24 hour period center around the Bible, that is the sacred? You don't ever tell your children to go to bed or when they have to get up and get dressed, or have any other conversation. It is all centered around "the sacred"?? No one would ever talk about the weather or any other topic--ever! It is always centered around Christ. You wouldn't even be aloud to call people to come and eat. That is not very sacred.

You engage in "corporate worship."
Give me an example of the nation of Israel engaging in corporate worship on the Sabbath Day. Show through scripture that this is the reason for the Sabbath, and this activity is "keeping the Sabbath.
Indeed it is not. In fact it is working on the Sabbath, and defiling the Sabbath. You are wrong to do it if you are keeping the Sabbath.
The Sabbath was made for rest, as a day of rest. When you take Saturday and make it a day of required worship then it becomes a day of work. Worship is work. It is many works. The hardest working person there is the pastor himself. Thus by example he is showing how he breaks the Sabbath. This makes it a very hypocritical day indeed.

The Bible teaches everywhere throughout Scripture that the Sabbath is to be a Day of Rest, not of work, not of worship, not of corporate worship, etc. It is to be a day of rest.
Your answer of showing how you supposedly keep the Sabbath shows that you don't keep the Sabbath. You only "say" you keep it, but it is in hypocrisy that you do it. For it is not a day of rest for the SDA at all. There is much planning and much work that is gone into this day and much work done on this day. You don't keep the Sabbath at all.

Ok, good question, but could be better asked, "What fulfills the Biblical requirements of keeping the 7th Day the Sabbath of the LORD thy God Holy, as Commanded?" and therefore, "How does the Scripture inform us on how to keep His Sabbath Holy?"

In very short, "love/charity" [Romans 13:10; 1 Corinthians 13, but in that charity, there is a universe to consider], we may consider the Life of Jesus Himself, and of His followers, etc.

Yours is the typical and ONLY SDA answer. It boils down --inevitably-- to one thing, always: MAN'S WORKS! Never giving God the credit for HIS works on and of : exclusively "the day The Seventh Day Sabbath OF THE LORD GOD" --"the Seventh Day _GOD_ thus concerning : SPAKE ... spake BY THE SON : IN THESE LAST DAYS ... because JESUS GAVE them REST : THEREFORE their Sabbath Day's resting / observance / 'Sabbathtizing' < 'Sabbatismos' REMAINS".

It is the same thing said to be done only with negations.

You too like they are preoccupied with MAN'S doings and or not doings as far as the Sabbath OF THE LORD GOD is concerned.

Please note the BIBLE'S description of "the day The Seventh Day Sabbath": It is "...OF THE LORD GOD"! Of the LORD GOD, "given to you" --"made for man" --"remaining for the People of God". Yes ---BUT THE LORD GOD'S! Not 'of man' : "OF GOD"!

Where else than in the Fourth Commandment is it written HOW the Sabbath MUST be kept by MAN?

In one place! And then only as OPPOSED to as how man is supposed to act on it.

But where is it recorded HOW GOD ACTED on the Sabbath Day? Virtually in every other place of mention of the Sabbath the Seventh Day.

NOW NOWHERE IS SPEAKING POSITIVELY OF THE SABBATH PROHIBITED AND DENOUNCED AND REJECTED AS IN THE Seventh-day Adventists church!
