Why not, if I may ask? is it that you do not want to remember that while we now have warmth, life, light, and freedom, that Christ Jesus was cold, dead, in the damp darkness of the tomb, imprisoned there for the sins [transgression of His Holy Law] committed by us all?
Is it because you do not desire to follow the LORD and Saviour Jesus Christ into Gethsemane, and from there to the tribulation, and from there to the Cross of Calvary, where, He, spotless, pure, holy and undefiled, righteous, sent of the love of the Father to die for you and me, and so much so, that taking the sins of the whole world upon Himself, died and so entered into His rest - the 7th Day?
Is it that you do not desire to die, that you may "follow" Him into it? Is it that you would rather keep a set of your own commandments, and not His, your own righteousness and not His? Please help me to understand, why you would refuse the one commandment, which speaks to the God who Creates and Redeems?
As Peter says:
For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known [it], to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them. - 2 Peter 2:21
There is only one Commandment with the words "holy" and "Hallowed" in it.
Please tell me DHK, from the Scripture, in what way possibly, could the rejection of God's own Commandment, which gives His very name and character, gives His very authority and dominion, gives His very prerogatives to Command anyone, in either work or rest, gives His very power to Bless, Hallow and Sanctify [and if a Day, can He do so for you?] do to glorify God, and but if such Day is not made so forever, how will you be? Can you tell me DHK how your refusal of His very Commandment, doesn't crucify Jesus Christ afresh every time you openly, as Pharaoh, say that you will not regard the "vain words" of His Law?
Look to Calvary DHK, and look past all the arguments man/devil has devised, for at Calvary, Christ Jesus eternally upheld the Moral Law of God, His Justice/Law and His Mercy/Grace together, vindicating God, saving those who would look and believe:
Mercy and truth are met together; righteousness and peace have kissed [each other]. - Psalm 85:10
The LORD is well pleased for his righteousness' sake; he will magnify the law, and make [it] honourable. - Isaiah 42:21
Do you think Paul, Peter, John, etc will turn to you and commend you for desecrating the Holy Time, even that time in which Christ Jesus was dead, for you, because of your [an my own] sins? Do you think the Holy angels of Heaven will look upon you with kindness, as you spit upon those sacred hours, purchased at the cost of the blood of the Son of God?
How do you think the Father felt, DHK, in the suffering of His only begotten Son, even unto death, that you would even have the grace/time bestowed to choose Him, and repent, and obey.
Repent, brother DHK, repent at such wondrous love of God for you, and take off your filthy sandals, and remove your dirty feet, from trampling upon the Son of God, for the time He spent, in Creation, in the Tomb, is forever Holy.
In the very Commandment is the name of God, and He promises to write that name in our hearts, as Creator/Redeemer, sealed in Holiness unto the LORD.
There are many today, professing to believe in Jesus and to believe in the Word, who are even now plotting and others even already crucifying afresh the Son of God, not in person as the Religious Leaders of those days had done, but today they crucify the Moral/Spiritual Law of God, His Ten Commandments, for they say that it is
"nailed to the Cross" and
"dead".
They despise it as that 'old Jewish' Law... Just as Christ was crowned
King of the Jews with a crown of thorns... mock and deride the Law as they did to Christ, and humiliate it, and they pierce the very heart of the Ten Commandments, where the very name of God is found, and who He is, in attacking the Sabbath of His rest.
They do not know what they do... and yet in their beliefs, statements and actions, they verily cry out,
"Crucify Him!, Crucify Him!" For they would
"nail to the Cross" His very character... and also not only despise the Head in so doing, but also His body which is connected to Him...
Do we not understand what was there done?, not even but the tiniest fragments of light do we comprehend, for it will be something to contemplate throughout eternity, becoming ever brighter and more glorious in the Light of God's glorious Love.
Do we not see that John witnessed... the Son of God, living breathing, warm, God touching humanity through humanity, caring, compassionate, tenderhearted...
...and with what cruelty we have treated Him, with what disdain we have for His Holy Law, the King of All Heaven, Justice, Mercy and Love!
Such an infinite price was paid, knowing in advance that most would even spurn it, and cast it back in His face as worthless, as dung... the blood of the Son of God, pouring from His flesh to uphold the Justice and Love of God together!
John handled the Word of Life, and knew Him personally... living... personality...
...John saw the Son of God heart broken upon the Cross, between Heaven and earth, the atoning sacrifice.
...John knew Him when the Son was dead... lifeless.... cold... unmoving...unresponsive... O how the Angels of Heaven must have shed tears, more than any human... to see their Lord so.
The Father beside His Son, which no mortal eye could see... shrouded in thick darkness...
Christ Jesus taken down... by the filthy hands of men.
The Son of God laid in the Tomb, entombed, covered in darkness... blackest midnight... without light... separated from the Father...
...the 7th Day... the Sabbath of the LORD Jesus ... forever Holy, may all your hearts be broken for the Son of God, but even more for the Father ...
... that in His Love, that we ... we sinners.... we the transgressors of the very Holy Law, for which Christ Jesus died and lay dead, entombed that we might Live in Him... that we might have warmth, love, light and Life.
The Holy 7th Day the Sabbath of the LORD thy God, is the eternal memorial for what Christ Jesus paid for the wages of our sins, death.
Yes, He now lives forever, but there was that Holy time, in which He ... Jesus ... precious Jesus ... was dead, for you... for me...that we might be reconciled to the Father.
For all who spurn This Love, may they bear their shame eternally, let them be anathema maranatha.
