And that is a good thing to consider, Hamel, because that is how all false teachers have been dealt with in Scripture.

They are addressed in regards to their doctrine and practice, neither mutually exclusive.

Now what constitutes someone as a modern parallel to the religious rulers and their false doctrine is a discussion all in itself. That could only be determined by an examination of the doctrine, and demands a little more clarity than "Scripture can mean a bunch of different stuff" (loose quote).

Why? An important issue is being discussed, and personally I feel this community needs to start being honest about it.

That's what happens all the time, a discussion starts, it is interrupted by those who only seek to disrupt, and the discussion, and anything that can be learned from it dies.

Is that what you want those that might be coming here to find a community to be a part of, where they can learn and grow see when they look in? Or conversations examining the harder issues which divide the Church?
