So you do just make this stuff up as you go along. And you really don't understand what "leave of absence" means?

Yes, I knew this was coming but it's still sad to see it happen. Rand has some great ideas. Let's hope he can stay in places of influence in the Senate.

I think Rand just might be my write-in this year. Still doing my homework.

I think I can support Cruz if he's nominated. Although he's made pro-war statements, I don't think he can spin up a war like W did. The interventionists have lost support since the Iraq debacle.

Supposedly, the one the democrats fear the most is Rubio, not Cruz or Trump.

Yeah that's all I do all day long is go around making up politician's ties to big banks and corporations that don't really exist.

"Leave of absence" in this case I believe means trying to avoid the perception that Ted Cruz is in reality an insider playing the role of outsider to hoodwink gullible voters who still believe the lender is servant to the borrower.

Thanks, that compilation is very informative. Schafly, Falwell, and Palin's endorsement of Trump stumps me. I wonder if Jonathan Falwell intends to make an endorsement. If I understand it correctly, Jerry Jr. has the name but Jonathan has the controlling interest in the Falwell empire.
BTW did you mean Wayne Grudem?

Cruz can't win enough electors in the general election.

That had been the argument against running a conservative for as long as I could vote. I think it's time to give it a try. Neither McCain nor Romney was able to win so lets try something different, run a conservative. My husband and I think it would be very interesting to see an election between Cruz and Sanders. Far Right vs far Left. That more then anything would let us know what mind of shape this country is really in.

It would be interesting, not saying I want it to happen but it would be interesting to say the least.

Not sure, but I see Rubio as far less hawkish than Cruz - maybe even Bush. (Don't know about Trump -- he's all over the place.) I believe most everyone except Rand Paul and Bernie Sanders has called for a no fly zone over Syria -- and that includes Hillary.
