Hebrews 10:25 not forsaking our own assembling together, as the custom of some is, but exhorting one another; and so much the more, as you see the Day approaching.I do not go to church
Inactive! It says behind the name that this is the Largest Christian forum online! If that's true what sad state of affairs for the Christian world. Is it so dead because the environment is to sterile?

That's too bad, and you come across cavalier and super-spiritual over this. You're leaning so much on Jesus yet have abandoned His Bride, exhortations, and solemn warnings? Wow. Hebrews 10:25, 1 John 2:19?I do not go to church,
Makes you wonder why Baptist members are not promoting the forum at their church, either on the bulletin board or in their bulletin for them to take home as a reminder that this site is available for fellowship and for asking questions to grow in their faith as Baptists in the Baptists Only part of the forum.
Maybe the forum administration can e-mail out invitation to pastors at Baptist churches to join?
I do not go to church, having no denomenation, and so I cannot help there. I was former Presbyterian, but now just a christian, leaning on Jesus Christ as my Good Shepherd to represent Him in Christ's love and not any church.
It used to be a lot more active before the GREAT PURGE.

The simple fact is that those who are involved in Forums stand apart from the general body in that they are more involved in the Word of God. In my experience the worst thing one can do is approach a Pastor in regards to debate or even discussion. Many will feel you are questioning their knowledge and doctrine.
While I do not view Hebrews 10:25 to apply in this context (meaning it warns about having good church attendance), I will say that I have found fellowship in a local fellowship important from an accountability standpoint. I think it helps for us to be among other believers, and while we can do that in other ways, it's really not the same.
In the years I have been going to forums I have actively tried to encourage people to do likewise, because I know it is a means of accelerated study, and it helps us to consider the doctrine of others, but the sad reality is that very few actually get involved. Again, we are a little different than the general body and have a desire to be in the Word of God more than the average believer.
So you're stuck with those that here...
God bless.
I reckon so.
People do shy away from asking questions in church which I believe it is because they are afraid that it will make them look stupid or be seen as making waves.
I think that is true for many, though in general I have not found many who are actually all that interested in the Word of God. But I believe God gifts some among the Body to be involved in areas dealing with the Word, and not all members are gifted like that. I think we have all probably heard preachers which we thought "missed their calling," lol.
God bless.
When you do finally find a perfect church don't go. You will only mess it up.
