KJV VS. NKJV

Do not get me wrong I love the KJV but I also like the NKJV. Anybody out there feel the same way? I started using it from the pulpit and my people seem to love it also.

I am an old KJV guy who loves the NKJV. Excellent bible. There are a few places I would have done things differently but all in all an excellent job. :)

I used the NKJV when I first started out preaching. The text is very accessible and I found it to be a consistently good translation. For my druthers, I don't care much for the KJV for preaching or teaching (but will occasionally reference it when appropriate.) The NKJV is a helpful upgrade to the KJV. The textual basis isn't the best, and some of the interpretive decisions are not ideal, but it is solid.

I heard the ESV was about to the level of 'The Message' now. Not quite to that level of scholarly work, but ever striving...ever climbing.
