God Saves Bad People II

Amen! 'Here is a trustworthy saying, that deserves full acceptance: Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners- of whom I am the worst' (1 Tim. 1:15).

Oh looky, now I have Craigbythesea just all of a sudden randomly going to my posts everywhere and giving them 'dumbs'. I cannot recall if I've ever had a conversation with the guy.

He gave me a 'dumb' for my response in the other thread, too. So I guess he, too, believes God saves good people. FYI, if they are good in God's sight, they were already saved to begin with. So to save the saved is redundant. To save those with pure hearts is useless.

I take it that he is in disagreement with the video and preacher in it and what is said as well. God does save bad people, that is the only crop out there, though some think they are pretty good.

How can a person think they are pretty good? An encounter with Christ, a true encounter will dispel that false notion.

People are not as good as they think they are, Brother. You hear someone say that another person is a good person. I understand what they mean, but in accordance to the bible, they are not good, and if they're an unconverted person, they're not good, but evil to the core. I once used Jeremiah 17:9 and was confronted with the question 'You don't even know your own heart?' I'd say no one truly knows their heart. What I do know is that He saved me and gave me a new heart and Spirit, but to truly know my heart is left up to Him. The more I know myself in light of what I read in the bible, the more I loathe myself.

That is a great video! Art Azurdia is a fine preacher and theologian and well worth listening to. Thumbsup..and He has never saved a good person to date.

I just discovered him by listening to Todd Friel's radio program Wretched Radio. He's a great preacher!
Not a pretty picture but we don't want to leave it there!
