Yep. What is surprising is that it did not originate on DrudgeBart.

Can't decide which is the dumpster fire of the week winner--this thread or "Trump Delegate Says Some US Officials May Need to be Killed". I have the to live with the fact that I started that one and it veered far off topic.

If "Okey-doke" was coded racist language of the Clintons, then it's the coded racist language of Obama.

    That's carpo's point.

But the liberals and pseudo-consveratives in this thread know it. UoT and Zaac are lying. ITL and rsr are being deliberately obtuse to the accompaniment of their faithful snark-dog, Rolfe.

Yeah....Okie-Dokie and Okie-Doke are two different phrases with two different meanings. Too bad you and Carpro don't know what they mean--but don't let your ignorance stop you from calling Obama a racist and insulting your fellow BB posters.

I would like to know where the idea that Okie Doke is a racist term.

All my life it has meant OK, O-Kay, yes ... an affirmative. Such as:

"I will pick you up at 7:00 p.m."

    "Okey-doke."

    http://www.dictionary.com/browse/okey-doke

Seems that younger Americans do not know the origin of the term.

The term "Okie" has been used as a derogratory term for a number of people from various geographic areas, i.e. Oklahoma, Okinawa are examples.

    You are confusing three words:
    Okie-Doke
    Okie-Dokie
    Okey-doke

    Hmmmmmmmm, ok.

I am not arguing with you, but show me links where any of those term are racist. I will appreciate it. I looked all three terms up and did not find any racist definition for any of the terms. I did find it as an affirmative and okey doke as playing a trick on someone.

In this context I believe the term is being used in the sense that Trump and the GOP are playing a trick, or trying to play a trick on the voters.

I'm not asserting they are racist, so no links from me.

Show us a link where it was a coded racist term for the Clinton's. Use made the statement, so back it up for us. I think you are simply letting your prejudice cloud your rationality.

Thanks. I have done a bit of research and found nothing backing up what that the writer of the OP wants us to believe.

If Carpo does not think that Obama is a racist why did he create the title of the thread using the word racist? The title of the article is:

President Obama warns about falling for Donald Trump’s ‘okey-doke’ during Indiana rally

There actual title of the article does not carry the word racist! Sorry Aaron, you are wrong again.

So, "hate filled racist statements" are not made by racists? Got it.

Oh wait. Trump says hate filled racist things and you don't think he's a racist. Well, at least you are consistent!

Go upstream in this thread and watch the video that 777 posted. Note the time stamp on the video timeline where Obama made a racist remark and post it here so we can all see it.

    Thank you.
