The question remains: What is the reason for the father infusing the elect with this ability?

presumably it happened in eternity.

But why, what caused Him to "elect" some and not others?
Or assign some to one destiny and the rest to another?

Was it something He saw in the two "thems"?

Obviously (or so it seems from scripture) we were all dead in Adams sin and therefore hopeless, helpless with no strength.

We do know this:

Ephesians 1
10 That in the dispensation of the fulness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in him:
11 In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will:
12 That we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ.

And:

Proverbs 16:4 The LORD hath made all things for himself: yea, even the wicked for the day of evil.

Seems cold. No?

Having made known unto us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he hath purposed in himself: V9

Comment on V 10 above especially relative to Phil 2:10,11 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

Are the, "us," of verse 9 the all of salvation or are they the all of salvation, who reign with Christ?

What happens to all the peoples on the earth when Christ returns? The Muslim's, the Chinese just to name a few in your or all's opinion?

If I understand correctly verse 9 of Eph 1 states God has made known, unto those chosen in Christ before the foundation of the world, the predestined, the mystery of his (God's) will. That will being verse 10 - That in the dispensation of the fulness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in him (self):

My question is; How do you understand verse 10 especially in light of a scripture such as, Phil 2:10,11 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

What or when is the, "dispensation of the fulness of times"? What are the all things or the all of Eph 1:10 say relative to the every knee, in and under of Phil.

Let's there are one and a half billion Muslims alive on the earth when Christ returns and another one and half billion, non christian Chinese alive when Christ returns. What will happen to all these people? Will those who reign with Christ also be priest of God, teachers of the word? Course I guess a lot of them will be warring against Christ at his return and die, but what about those who live? By the time Christ returns will all the saving to be done, be done? Will anyone be saved after the return?

One more question for your thoughts. What order of priest will we be of? I think of the order of Melchisedec. What think you?

There are several possibilities. Personally I believe many more will be saved than imagined.
In Revelation it says that no man could number them.

But we don't know for sure.

Mercy I hope - greater than we could ever imagine.

Yes IMO we will be a suborder of the Melchisedec priesthood under the rule of our great high priest Jesus Christ.

In Him - that is located spiritually in Christ -
we have redemption - we have been saved -
through His blood - which provides -
the forgiveness of our trespasses,
according the riches of His glory
which He lavished on us,

In all wisdom and insight
He made known to us - those located in Christ spiritually -
the mystery of His will - saving both Jews and Gentiles -
according to His kind intention
which He purposed in Him - His lamb and redeemer Jesus Christ.
