Donald Trump and the Pharisees

The #NeverTrump movement is defined by this Pharisee spirit. It is chock full of it. Texas pastor Max Lucado is a great example. Max leads what he calls a “red state” church, but Max has a maxim: ”I don’t want anybody to know how I vote.” Max does this to make sure the Democratic voters in his church, the ones who support abortion on demand, Islamo-pandering, and class warfare are not made to feel uncomfortable. However, Max recently broke his neutrality pledge when Donald Trump called a bimbo a bimbo. According to Max:

I would not have said anything about Mr. Trump, never — I would never have said anything if he didn’t call himself a Christian. It’d be none of my business whatsoever to make any comments about his language, his vulgarities, his slander of people, but I was deeply troubled … that here’s a man who holds up a Bible one day, and calls a lady “bimbo” the next.​

Think on that for a moment. Max closes his eyes to another “Christian,” Barack Obama, who stands foursquare for the slaughter of millions of unborn babies, at your expense, but Donald Trump called a lady a “bimbo?” Intolerable! Unthinkable! Impolite! Time to engage the Pharisee warp engines.

Donald Trump is more righteous than you think. He wants to protect you from Islamic zealots. He wants to protect your right to defend your families with firearms. He even wants to exempt your pulpits from IRS tyranny. He wants to end the death tax, so you can pass on your farms and your family business to your children. He wants to lower your taxes. He wants to protect the lives of unborn children and appoint Constitutional judges.

But you and Max Lucado don’t like his style.​

It has nothing to do with "style" but the very clear bad behavior, actions, thoughts and deeds. Yes, Mr. Trump says that he "wants" this stuff but interestingly enough, he was against everything he is now for just before he decided to run for president. I don't trust him as far as I can spit.

The question for me is not past sins, but current direction. Is Trump on the right path? Is he going in the right direction morally and politically? I believe his is, and I believe Hillary (who you're trying to help) is not.

yea but we are not talking about a past we are talking about the present. We do not have any evidence that he has actually changed and he was widely known for his skirting around with all of his wives throughout the years. This is not a past and repentant scenario.

The Pharisees on the other hand had no problem getting into bed with the politicians of their day to deal with their problem with Jesus. Yes I will acknowledge that the Pharisees hated Rome, but that did not stop them from joining with Pilate to attack Jesus whom they hated even more.

How is destroying the Supreme Court a good witness? How is unforgiveness a good witness? This is false Christianity. Forgiveness is a good witness. Wise stewardship of your vote is a good witness. Stubborn self-righteousness only repels people.

Which is exactly why I'm more than likely going to vote for him although it makes me want to vomit to do so. He's a pig, plain and simple. He's a bully and exactly the kind of man I'd be embarrassed if he were my son. But because we are looking at numerous SC justices being replaced with this new president, I'm going to vote for a party that I hope will stand up to it's platform. I don't trust Mr. Trump to stay a Republican though since he's been a Democrat all of his life. But at least I have a chance with him - there is none with Mrs. Clinton.

It shouldn't make you want to vomit. Imagine how God feels forgiving you? You're a sinner. You don't deserve it. You can't offer him anything. Trump, on the other hand, can give our kids a conservative Supreme Court and possibly save many lives. It's a good righteous decision. Why would you want to vomit over a man changing his life and going in the right direction? It makes you sound petty and self-righteous.

Of course he should expand it. There are many good judge out there, and he'll have to appoint them to many benches.

And Hillary is promising to put anti-Christians on court benches all over the country.

I have an atheist friend who is conservative and he's baffled why Christians are opposing Trump. He thinks they're idiots. Why are they wiling to give up the Supreme Court? I can only shrug my shoulders and apologize for the terrible testimony they're displaying before him.

I wouldn't say that it is a 'righteous decision' at all. Mr. Trump has not shown that he is going in the right direction when he labels people, makes fun of them, speaks disrespectfully about and towards people. It makes me sound petty and self-righteous? That's your opinion. I think that makes me discerning and aware.
