It has 29 mentions of the term "Holy Spirit." I see no chapters on the Holy Spirit per se.

However, Hell's Best Kept Secret has Ch. 6: "No Anointing, No Results." Could this be exactly what you need? Check it out and get back to us on this thread.

On p. 65 he says, "If I don't agonize in prayer, I agonize in preaching." He closes the chapter by saying, "Without the anointing, there are few lasting results" (p. 69).

I just got done reading R.A. Torrey's "The Holy Spirit: Who He is and What He does." Per John's recommendation and i will say, it was awesome.

No that chapter is not about the Holy Spirit in evangelism.

Not jus in witnessing for Jesus, but basically ANY partof our Christian life needs to be led/empowered/enabled by Him, as we can do no rea lastingwork fortLord apart frm th Spirit workingin it and trouh us!

I was able to read several pages (not the whole chapter) on Amazon, and if that is what you think, then either (a) Comfort explained it poorly, or (b) you need to study pneumatology. The power of God in evangelism must always come from the Holy Spirit.

Note: "How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him" (Acts 10:38).

"The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised" (Luke 4:18).

I have yet to see in the NT them using the Law as he does to witness, as they preached the Cross, and the Spiit Himelf convicted!

On p. 63 of the chapter, "No Anointing, No
I'll have to read his book sometime to be sure if it is "instead of."

That is correct, if Evan is properly interpreting his mentor. And I disagree with that position. The Law cannot convict without the work of the Holy Spirit.

And the Law will point the person to Jesus, but they still cannot receive Jesus unless the Holy Spirit convicts them/grant them faith!

This may be one area that Comfort misses.
