Well no one's stopping you. Of you go and love God with all your heart, all your strength and all your mind (in Mark 12, Jesus says, "with all your soul," as well, so throw that in with good measure). And love your neighbour as yourself. Constantly, without fail, perfectly (James 2:10). Let me know how you get on, because if you can do that, you have nothing whatsoever to do with Jesus, because He says, "I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners" (Matthew 9:13).
And while you're at it, here are two very similar questions, one asked of the Lord Jesus and one asked of Paul and Silas:
"What must I do to inherit eternal life?" (Luke 10:25).
"What must I do to be saved?" (Acts 16:30).
Why are there two such very different answers to these questions?
Same case righteous vs sinners:
Luke 7
44Turning toward the woman, He said to Simon, “Do you see this woman? I entered your house; you gave Me no water for My feet, but she has wet My feet with her tears and wiped them with her hair.
45“You gave Me no kiss; but she, since the time I came in, has not ceased to kiss My feet.
46“You did not anoint My head with oil, but she anointed My feet with perfume.
47“For this reason I say to you, her sins, which are many, have been forgiven
, for she loved much; but he who is forgiven little,
loves little.”
We tell you love is the priority.
"What must I do to inherit eternal life?" (Luke 10:25).
"What must I do to be saved?" (Acts 16:30).
All three are same answer. Only one Gospel not three. You think believe can ONLY mean acknowledge existence?
If someone says you got a FLAT TIRE you might
BELIEVE IN THEM and sure enough you do have a flat tire.
^That doesn't mean you worship them and assure other people they exist does it?^
Read real close 1 John 3:
23This is His
commandment, that we believe in the name of His Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, just as He commanded us.
That's ONE COMMANDMENT. But you can't believe because you don't believe God is TRUELY GOOD. You think he is EVIL with PRIVELEGES of doing stuff merely "CALLED" Good. When you can do what you want you can do EVIL and Call it good.
But God is GOOD WHOLEY GOOD. He is KIND and LOVING. Never evil.
The only person who says worship me and I will give you everything is SATAN:
7“Therefore if You worship before me, it shall all be Yours.”
8Jesus answered him, “It is written, ‘YOU SHALL WORSHIP THE LORD YOUR GOD AND SERVE HIM ONLY.’”
"Well no one's stopping you. Of you go and love God with all your heart, all your strength and all your mind (in Mark 12, Jesus says, "with all your soul," as well, so throw that in with good measure). And love your neighbour as yourself. Constantly, without fail, perfectly (James 2:10)."
Piece of CAKE. I got a good teacher, and you can do the same with great joy.
You have some strange view that sin is some kind of perk and loving God is some kind of chore.
Matthew 11
28“Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest.
29“Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and YOU WILL FIND REST FOR YOUR SOULS.
30“For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.”
"Let me know how you get on"
Agape is the highest priority. 1 Corinthians 13. 1 john 4.
Love is the entire goal of Christianity. 1 timothy 1:5
Very basics is you need to forgive people when they do you wrong and quit believing THEY themselves are bad but they are enslaved by bad motivations.
38“You have heard that it was said, ‘AN EYE FOR AN EYE, AND A TOOTH FOR A TOOTH.’
39“But I say to you, do not resist an evil person; but whoever slaps you on your right cheek, turn the other to him also.
40“If anyone wants to sue you and take your shirt, let him have your coat also.
41“Whoever forces you to go one mile, go with him two.
42“Give to him who asks of you, and do not turn away from him who wants to borrow from you.
43“You have heard that it was said, ‘YOU SHALL LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR and hate your enemy.’
44“But I say to you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you,
45so that you may be sons of your Father who is in heaven; for He causes His sun to rise on
the evil and
the good, and sends rain on
the righteous and
the unrighteous.
46“For if you love those who love you, what reward do you have? Do not even the tax collectors do the same?
47“If you greet only your brothers, what more are you doing
than others? Do not even the Gentiles do the same?
48“Therefore you are to be perfect, as your heavenly Father is perfect.
14“For if you forgive others for their transgressions, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.
15“But if you do not forgive others, then your Father will not forgive your transgressions.
Matthew 25
34“Then the King will say to those on His right, ‘Come, you who are blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world.
35‘For I was hungry, and you gave Me
something to eat; I was thirsty, and you gave Me
something to drink; I was a stranger, and you invited Me in;
36naked, and you clothed Me; I was sick, and you visited Me; I was in prison, and you came to Me.’
37“Then the righteous will answer Him, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry, and feed You, or thirsty, and give You
something to drink?
38‘And when did we see You a stranger, and invite You in, or naked, and clothe You?
39‘When did we see You sick, or in prison, and come to You?’
40“The King will answer and say to them, ‘Truly I say to you, to the extent that you did it to one of these brothers of Mine,
even the least
of them, you did it to Me.’
41“Then He will also say to those on His left, ‘Depart from Me, accursed ones, into the eternal fire which has been prepared for the devil and his angels;
42for I was hungry, and you gave Me
nothing to eat; I was thirsty, and you gave Me nothing to drink;
43I was a stranger, and you did not invite Me in; naked, and you did not clothe Me; sick, and in prison, and you did not visit Me.’
44“Then they themselves also will answer, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry, or thirsty, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not take care of You?’
45“Then He will answer them, ‘Truly I say to you, to the extent that you did not do it to one of the least of these, you did not do it to Me.’
46“These will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.”
Nothing about God visiting himself or feeding himself. What happens to the person who does all these things?
All this detail and explanation would not be necessary with your version.
King says those on right, "I picked you to go to heaven", King says to those on left "I picked you to go to hell" Why? Cause I says so and I'm the most merciful loving God, bye!
