WHAT were they thinking?! This is a horrible apostasy and heresy!

A passage from the Koran that denies one of the central tenets of the Christian faith was sung aloud at a cathedral service in Scotland.

The passage from Surah 19, which specifically denies that Jesus was the Son of God and says He should not be worshiped, was sung during a Eucharist service at St Mary’s Episcopal Cathedral in Glasgow to mark the feast of the Epiphany.

A video of the recital was posted on YouTube showing a girl singing the passage in a typical Islamic style. It narrates the Islamic account of the birth of Jesus, which includes the claim that Mary was “ashamed” after giving birth, and the infant Christ miraculously spoke from the cradle – something not found in Christian scripture.

She then concludes by singing verse 35, which states in translation: “It befitteth not the Majesty of Allah that He should take unto Himself a son,” and then verse 36, which has the infant Jesus saying: “And lo! Allah is my Lord and your Lord. So worship Him. That is the right path.” story

They are the first sola scriptures so its easy to win that game.

Quran says its not for Allah to take any son. Just like its not for some folks to take any husband or wife.

Even if it said that its not befitting to take a son, that doesn't negate plenty of SONS or even a DAUGHTER.

Quran don't believe Jesus rose from dead. but they trick some other fellah to take his spot.

Yet look right in this Surah 19:15

And peace be upon him the day he was born and the day he dies and the day he is raised alive.

They screwed up, because they are foretelling the resurrection.

Now they can grab a imam to say one way.....so what? its sola scriptura you can decide what it means yourself.

1.Is anyone surprised at what happens in an Episcopal "church"? Yes, I know that many are still orthodox, but others might as well as Unitarian Universalist or even Wiccan.

    2. The Koran is a hopeless mishmash of confliction, but this may or may not be an example. The Koranic scholars are divided on what this means, whether it refers to Jesus or Christians and Jews or all men, and when it is supposed to be applied.

Not shocked whenever the lost cater to the lost by having the lost as guests.

    A little closer to home:

From a conversation between Lifeway exec Trevin Wax and Pastor J.D. Greear, who was nearly elected to the SBC Presidency last year:

The Episcopal Church ceased to be a Christian body when it decided that the Holy Scriptures were 'historical documents' which are inaccurate and not really all that relevant to our society. The previous Presiding Bishop of The Episcopal Church said that 'resurrection is the spirit of Jesus living on within the people who follow his teachings'. Bishop Spong denied the divinity of Christ, the virgin birth, the resurrection of our Lord and was for all intents and purposes an atheist. The Bible believing Episcopalians left TEC some years back and formed the ACNA, ACA, Reformed Episcopal Church, etc.

Also, when a resolution was brought to the floor of the General Convention of The Episcopal Church back in 2003 to re-affirm that Jesus Christ was the only way to salvation the resolution was soundly defeated. Same year they gave the green light to consecrating Vikki Gene Robinson (openly gay, divorced his wife and abandoned his children) and declared he was marrying a man he had been having an affair with for many years.
