Not so. The Universal Church teaches forgiveness in Jesus Christ the Savior of us all. The Universal Church teaches that we should have love for everyone. The Universal Church teaches that having faith is required, as is living holy and pleasing lives to God.

The Universal Church leaves nothing out, everything is included. Show me a biblical passage where it says we are saved simply by faith and I will show you one where it says good works are also required; where baptism is also required; where reception of the Holy Eucharist is also required. You focus on one thing, the Universal Church looks at everything.
Thre are NO passages that woul add good works/water baptism/loving oters as bein in addition to faithin the person/work of Christ to save us!

Try: Ephesians 2:8-10, Douay Confraternity if you like. This is really plain perspective on what salvation is and what works are and the relation between the two. A major problem arises when we take the doctrines of men and try to make them agree with the doctrines of Holy Writ.

Whenever two people disagree, both cannot be right. Both could be wrong. What is the standard? This is why Sola Scripture is such a pivotal doctrine. Scripture is the only rule of faith and practice.

Even so, come, Lord Jesus.

Bro. James
The Bible alone is the infallible rule fo all doctrines/practices, not the bible and church trdition!

Now there's your false gospel - Sola Scriptura. Jesus did not call for a book to be written and then all men allowed to make their own interpretation of it. He started the Universal Church, a teaching church, where men with the help of the Holy Spirit decided what was what.

This was the reality from the beginning of the Universal Church. It was the Bishops (men) of the Universal Church who called the various synods and councils to decide things. The Holy Bible by itself calls nothing into session, nor does it proclaim any of the Christian doctrines that came about - such a thing simply does not happen.

Where are we supposed to take our problems between our fellow believers? Why to the Church of course, the one made up of men who figure things out. It never says for the people in dispute to open up the Scriptures and figure it out themselves, we are told to take things to the Church my brother, to those put in authority by Jesus Christ himself.

That's the truth and the historical reality, until of course some mere men came along promoting this Sola Scriptura idea, thus leading countless souls confused and astray.
Thetrue church of Christ was founded by Jesus, built upon Him alone, and it was NOT the Church of Rome, s tat church has a falsegopel, no papacy in bible, no apostolicsiccession, no worship mry, vereatin saints, no purgetory, on and on it goes!

Do you even know anything at all about the Universal Christian Church and how it actually evolved after the time of the Apostles? How about the men whom we know as the Early Church Fathers of this same Universal Christian Church, what they believed and how they worshipped in the early centuries, do you know anything at all about them?

Well, they certainly were not Baptists, unless the Baptists of back then believed in all seven sacraments, the authority of the Bishop based in Rome, the Communion of saints, and most of all the belief in the Real Presence of Christ in the Holy Eucharist. Study up on them brother, you just might learn something.

You are right--Universal Church evolved, actually, apostasized after the Apostles. Also correct: they were not Baptists. God preserved a people in every age even through today. Yes, this is about authority and who got the keys. If Rome got the keys all others are usurpers. She has give no authority to any other church. Without the God given authority, Rome is a usurper, along with those who would reform her. Rome's departed brethren in Istanbul do not recognize the papacy either. Now what?

Even so, come, Lord Jesus.

Christ was NOT the founder of the Roman Catholic church

LOL, who can stand up to the catholic shotgun of questions?

Where did your canon of scripture come from?
When was it declared?
Who declared it?
Who has the authority to declare it?

BOOM!

God breathed it to holy men of God over many years, declared by God to those chosen who were given the authority.

The boom is really a thud from one of the greatest religious deceptions ever.

Now what? God does not dwell in temples made with hands.

Even so, come, Lord Jesus.

We say the gospel is THE GOSPELS, Matthew Mark Luke and John.

You guys don't know what the gospel is after reading the gospels.

You require manmade "doctrines of grace" to identify a twisted version of romans as the gospel rather then the gospel themselves.

I don't know of anyone who ever read Matthew Mark, Luke and John and did not get the gist of it other then reformers who's light turns on in romans AFTER being indoctrinated with doctrines of grace.

I could however believe in God's sovereignty even over a mans will, because it would require some divine intervention of some kind for someone to read a bible passage Like :

24You see that a man is justified by works and not by faith alone.

And then conclude the meaning to be the EXACT OPPOSITE. That's divinely stupid and proof there is a God and he has a sense of humor.

You see that a man is justified by FAITH ALONE and not by works.

Jewish canon was open.

The bible Jesus Christ used is the Septuagint. This can be easily proven because when someone in the NEW TESTAMENT quotes something from the OLD TESTAMENT they quote the Septuagint.

The old testament in a majority of KING JAMES bibles have a Jewish canon that was closed in 90 ad by Jews in RESPONSE to growth of Christianity.

Who's old testament is greater? The one Jesus QUOTES or the one the Jews who denied Jesus made up?

Im still waiting for answers:

Where did your canon of scripture come from?
When was it declared?
Who declared it?
Who has the authority to declare it?

Caution: don't study history or look for these answers else your in danger of not being protestant.

Calvin and Luther is bit too early, because both admit The Catholic Church is the church.

Even in the word Protestant and Reformation implies your trying to fix something that was there before.

That's why you got new denominations popping up trying to get rid of the protestant/reformer name tag and just say Catholics are not Christians.

Now see I don't believe Calvin was divinely inspired by the holy spirit. He murdered opposition. You don't even agree with his doctrine even though you claim he is lead by holy spirit.

Calvin believes in infant baptism for example. Because election is passed on heredity.

They hated Jews.

Martin Luther 's book

I guess that what made it easier to pick up Hitler for a god.

Yes, and those holy men were Catholics (Universalists) every last one of them in belief (the 7 sacraments) and practice (our liturgical form of worship) - right down to the "kiss of peace" we still exchange at Mass today.

There was but one Christian Church that just about every Christian listened to, right up to the great schism between East and West and that is a fact that cannot be denied. The Baptist sect and it's belief's did not come about until sometime in the 17th century. (According the Baptist History and Heritage Society)

Yeah right - and was it also the Holy Spirit which told Luther to dismiss the Book of James, the Book of Hebrews, the Book of Jude and the Book of Revelation? I don't think so.

And how about Calvin and the false doctrine of "pre-destination" - which completely goes against the idea that God gave us a "free will" to decide for ourselves what spiritual path we should take. These men have some serious problems with their doctrinal thinking.

Of course it was, EVEN QUOTED.

The Jews never had officially canon till AFTER Jesus died in 90ad.

In the new testament they flat out quote the Septuagint.

The Sadducees had different canon then Jesus the only believed in the first 5 books of the old testament.

So to mock Jesus, they quote the book TOBIT by presenting the same plot, which YOU and the Sadducees deny as scripture.

In Tobit Sarah is married 7 times all husbands killed till finally ending with Tobias.

Matthew 22

23On that day some Sadducees (who say there is no resurrection) came to Jesus and questioned Him, 24asking, “Teacher, Moses said, ‘IF A MAN DIES HAVING NO CHILDREN, HIS BROTHER AS NEXT OF KIN SHALL MARRY HIS WIFE, AND RAISE UP CHILDREN FOR HIS BROTHER.’ 25“Now there were seven brothers with us; and the first married and died, and having no children left his wife to his brother; 26so also the second, and the third, down to the seventh. 27“Last of all, the woman died. 28“In the resurrection, therefore, whose wife of the seven will she be? For they all had married her.”
29But Jesus answered and said to them, “You are mistaken, not understanding the Scriptures nor the power of God. 30“For in the resurrection they neither marry nor are given in marriage, but are like angels in heaven. 31“But regarding the resurrection of the dead, have you not read what was spoken to you by God: 32‘I AM THE GOD OF ABRAHAM, AND THE GOD OF ISAAC, AND THE GOD OF JACOB’? He is not the God of the dead but of the living.” 33When the crowds heard this, they were astonished at His teaching.

^The book of TOBIT is holy scripture. Jesus knows it and the Sadducees are mocking him for believing it.

The verses in Tobit might even sound familiar like:

Tobit 4

15 Do to no one what you would not want done to you
